Pours a sunburst gold with a slight orange hue and a half finger of slight off-white foam.
Citrus fruit notes of lemon, orange, and grapefruit add complexity to the rather dull malt bill.
Semi-sweet caramel and toasted malts show up more in flavor, but they do not provide a strong enough backbone to balance the citrus fruit notes that come through as more bitter than anticipated from the aroma.
Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, leans bitter and not well balanced.
Overall, a rather underwhelming IPA, but certainly easy drinking. Needs work on balance and complexity.

10/13/21 On tap at the brewery. So yummy after our long walk from ft. Taylor in Key West. Well, not that long of a walk because some folks in a rented golf cart picked us up and drove us back to the water front. Sweet pineapple and pine tree bites on the nose. Definitely pine and lemon rind in the mouth. Crazy smooth mouthfeel along with the bitter resin notes. Dave especially liked this one.

Wow, I didn’t expect such a solid IPA from a little brewery in the Keys but there you have it. Tried this one on tap at Waterfront Brewery. Looks incredible - darker golden color, small fluffy cap of white head and some incredible abundant sheets of lingering lacing that just coated the sides of the glass. Incredible. Smells surprisingly a little faintly of some fruity hops - grapefruit, papaya, mango, pineapple, lemon, orange. Also some malt, vanilla, bread, floral hops. Taste follows the nose, good balance between the slightly bitter hops and sweeter malt backbone in the distance. Clean, crisp, soft mouthfeel that was very pleasant. Good amount of carbonation. A very enjoyable IPA with a well hidden higher ABV.

Draft at the brewery. Pours light copper with off-white head. Citrus hop aroma. Grapefruit upfront followed by some light biscuit malt. Refreshing and the only way I like grapefruit, in an IPA!

Walked in to this brewery in Key West and was wanting to try a local IPA. I was very pleased with this selection and would highly recommend this beer.
