Formerly Arrant Thief.
Pure insolence led us to take liberties with this IPA. First, Arrant™ extracts its rounded mouth-feel from the flaked oats in the grain bill. Then, this Citra-hopped concoction tickles the tongue with aromatic orange and juicy lemon. Heard of the Bard? Arrant is already on his lips.

Taster at Pale Fire. Hazy golden pour, creamy white head. Hoppy aroma with light dank notes, caramel, toffee, citrus. Taste is caramel, hoppy, dry, sweet. Feels full but finishes quick.

On draft at Continental Beer Garden, Arlington, VA. Arrant is a solid west-coast style IPA; citrusy, hoppy, and enough malt for a well-rounded taste!

From the large can, it pours a hazy amber with a moderately large white head that starts dropping as you watch. In the nose, it is piney hops. In the mouth, it is lightly bitter with a solid malt base.

Light lacing, moderate carbonation, medium body with mildly sweet viscosity, caramel nose, piney hops and astringency balanced well by malt. Overall very enjoyable beer.

Can dated 3/1/19 into pint glass. Pours a light hazy amber with a coarse off-white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, mango, orange, lemon, and pineapple, with a little dankness. Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium but fairly soft and sticky; carbonation might be a tad high but maybe that's just me. Finish is somewhat bitter and not particularly smooth. Not bad but there are better ones out there.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, pineapple. Taste is grapefruit up front, oranges and pineapple bringing up the rear, some malts, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had an amber-ish color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. No real lacing to speak of.
S: A decent enough aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and pine.
T: Tasted of a mild amount of pine (just a hint), a fair shot of hops (less than expected), light malt notes (mostly in the finish), and some citrus fruit (orange, lemon). Not necessarily a bad flavor, just a little on the mild side. It could certainly use a bit of a boost in the hops department, but there's sufficient citrus to make it interesting.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A solid, if slightly uneven IPA. Worth a try, though.
