Notes: The one that started it all. This heavily oated, Mosaic-only IPA softly beckons you to remember where you came from while giving you just enough of a ripe citrus kick to strive for where you want to go. Homestyle is the staple IPA of our brewery and, like almost all of our hoppy beers, focuses on highlighting the fruity & fragrant nuances of hops. At a relaxed 6.0% we think you’ll discover it’s easy to find your Homestyle.

tall can

Pours hazed n juiced and leaves ample fine strands and bits of lacing and some frothy ringed sheeting.

Bright fruity nose, with some flowers and vanilla.

Tasty, tropical fruits infused NEIPA...ripe mango, lime, pineapple, plus some vanilla and melon notes....delicious...complex....go get some

This is the third beverage I've had from this Brewer in the last month and they have all been amazing.... I had the higher ABA version of this one recently, and it was the best beer I'd had in 6 months. This is nearly as good and should be found and enjoyed!

Yup its a hazy alright. Apricot flesh coloured body with a large ,impressive rocky egg shell white head.
Tropical fruit hop aromas..as expected. Mango, star fruit, cantaloupe and a bit of orange zest.

Wow surprisingly fierce carbonation. But it sort of takes the sweetness off a bit, which i like.
Great fizzy champagne mouth feel. Very easy to pound.
A really nice and surprising beer

Appearance: Pours a very hazy, pale but dull lemon yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 9. (4.00)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of orange citrus, pineapple, lemon citrus with a slight pine note.

Flavor: The flavor follows with strong and juicy flavors of orange citrus, pineapple, lemon citrus, and pine. Juicy and sweet, yet smooth.

Feel: Medium-bodied. Strong, but creamy carbonation. Finishes smooth and leans creamy. Yet, a hop burn astrigency lingers on the palate.

Compared to Toppling Goliath's PseudoSue 3/14/21: Pours a near identical color, but slightly darker. Very similar and hoppy aromas. Slightly more orange sweetness rather than zest. Also slightly more pineapple and less green. Differences become more apparent as it warms, but extremely similar and top-notch haze.

Overall: This beer is pretty much what I expected in terms of flavor and intensity. Extremely quality haze. The mosaic didn't strike me as a classical mosaic IPA however. This one had more orange citrus and pineapple than I would have thought for Mosaic. I also didn't get any of the berry/melon notes I'm used to with Mosaic.
Disclaimer, I don't know how old this beer is: The date on the can is one month old, so either the beer is one month old or I'm drinking it at least one month expired.
In the end, I think this is some great haze and probably deserves the somewhere near the 94/100 rating on BeerAdvocate.

From the bottom edge of the can in very small but legible writing: "DREAM BEANS 82914.34 12.14.20"

Appearance: The body is a nearly opaque pale gold color. Extremely abstract and fuzzy shadows are visible. The head is large, frothy, and white. It has a nice spiderweb of lacing on the glass.

Aroma: Fresh pineapple comes through at first. Mango jumps in at the middle. Hop bine oil aroma comes through shortly after and lingers with the fruity scents. It smells very fresh.

Taste: Up front there is pineapple which is great. It quickly drops off in the middle where there is very little flavor. There's a bit of cabbage in the middle. The back of the mouth is lacking in flavor greatly, giving almost nothing at all. No aftertaste at all. Very disappointing finish.

Mouthfeel: Up front it is thick and frothy with this light character. A mild grapefruit tang and bitterness pops in shortly before the beer drops off into nowhere, leaving behind a vast emptiness.

Overall: The beer started out amazing and then it just nosedived in regards to flavor and mouthfeel. It both smelled and looked great, then there was this wonderful pineapple flavor which spiked the tongue at the forefront of the tasting experience. Right after all of this, it was like a rollercoaster taking a downward crash. There is some residual splash of enjoyable character at the end. The cabbage character really kills this beer. I would only recommend it if you can drink it on tap at the brewery. I'd buy it to try it again if I could get it on tap but maybe something went wrong in the can. It just isn't bright or exciting. It feels too vegital.

A - Pours a pale cloudy slightly brownish yellow but with a nice white fluffy/rocky white one-finger head. 4.0

S - very fragrant/aromatic. Knock out rose, grapefruit, and some spice. 4.25

T - A nice balance of cereal maltiness and herbal bitterness with some citrusy hops showing through as well. 4.25

MF - Medium light body with a dry almost sharp finish. Very clean finish with some lingering citrus rind bitterness. 4.25

Very reminiscent of the Solace Suns Out Hops Out. Same hop profile, similar bitterness, dryness, aroma and even appearance. Just a bit heavier because of the higher ABV.

Canned 12/14/20.

Pours a murky golden color. The head is around half a finger high, with an eggshell color. It's more of a collar, really. Only a tiny bit of lacing sticks to the glass.

You ever smell a beer and think to yourself "Yep, this is loaded with mosaic hops!" There are big notes of tangerine and orange, but also a little bit of (unfortunate) oniony qualities. On the other hand, there's a hint of blueberry which so many mosaic-hopped beers fail to feature. The malt backbone is very subtle, creating a good canvas to the mosaic hops without really standing out (good or bad). The aroma reveals a rock-solid IPA.

Initial flavors of orange and tangerine hit the palate hard and fast. It finishes in a subtle, mellow fashion, almost to a fault. It's more bitter than a New England IPA, but not as much as a west coast IPA. A slight sweetness pops up after a few sips, but by no means is this an infinitely complex IPA. In fact, I'd call it simple, almost to a fault. Almost - IPAs are all about showcasing hop flavors, not shoving a million different flavors on the palate at once. Ultimately, the only real flaw is that it's slightly vegetal at times.

I also find the texture slightly weird. It goes for the "crisp and angular" approach I like in a good west coast IPA, but it also becomes a little lumpy post-swallow. Also, astringency is a little higher than I'd like. Still, it goes down easily, helped by zesty carbonation.

Decent, but not exceptional. It nails the basics, but doesn't quite nail some of the little things needed to make it great. I'd definitely give this a second chance on tap, though I'd also stick with cheaper, more local (and fresher) IPAs over this one.

Dream Beams 12.14.20 on bottom rim of can. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Light yellow hazy with 1-2 finger white frothy head with good retention and solid lacing.

S: Delicious citrus and dank, herbal notes with crackery malt nose

T: Flavor emphasizes citrus and pineapple. It's a bit one-note, but a good note. Moderate fruity esters. Low bitterness. Light vegetal note in the finish.

M: Medium body but with a chalky minerally slightly astringent.

O: A good but not great flagship ipa.

Currently #4 in the Top Tennessee beers list with a 94 overall score.

4x16 fl oz pull-tab cans cost $14.99 USD plus tax at a beer store in Colorado. Canned 11/11/20.

6% ABV. Single hop Mosaic IPA.

Served cold into a conical pint glass.

HEAD: White and a bit frothy, though it could be frothier and creamier to better effect. Retention is quite good - ~8-10 minutes, though its 6% ABV is admittedly on the low side by contemporary style standards, making the feat a good bit less impressive.

BODY: Turbid/hazy yellow-orange. Lacks clarity and appears unfiltered. No yeast/lees are visible within.

Appears well-carbonated.

Could be livelier and more vibrant (filtration would obviously help), but it's a nice looking IPA with no obvious faults.

AROMA: Mosaic's signature subtle blueberry note is present, signalling a competently brewed single hop Mosaic IPA that showcases Mosaic hops to their fullest. Pale malt/2-row and wheat (I think?) lend balancing sweetness, erasing any concomitant hop bitterness.

Vaguely citrusy, tending towards underripe/green mango. Floral. Inviting. Not pulpy or juicy.

Suggests an enjoyable Mosaic IPA that doesn't quite rival the best executions of its premise (e.g. Lone Pint's Yellow Rose), but is at least trying to do something a bit different than those Citra-Mosaic IPAs flooding the market.

Aromatic intensity is mild for the style.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Bursts of blueberry married to a pleasant floral and citrusy (yes, green mango) hop profile. Pale malt/2-row balances in tandem with wheat and smoothening oats.

A bit on the tame side for an IPA, lacking any hop bitterness/pungent hop punch, but there's nothing wrong with a mellower IPA even if its lack of depth of flavour does bring it closer to a pale ale than an IPA proper in my book.

Balanced despite being single hop IPA (or hell, maybe because of it). Has a mellow build.

Smooth, wet, refreshing, just a bit pulpy. A bit overcarbonated. Not oily, gushed, hot, boozy, astringent, harsh, rough, or scratchy.

OVERALL: It doesn't hold a candle to Lone Pint's Yellow Rose - which is the big dog in the single hop Mosaic IPA world - but it's a nice mellow IPA for what it is. Were it not for its ludicrous pricetag, it'd be a beer I'd revisit when in Tennessee. I'm glad I got to try it once, but it's not a top-tier beer in the direly oversaturated style. You've really got to bring more to the table to stand out when you brew an IPA...I think even Sierra Nevada's Torpedo is a better beer, and that's available probably everywhere this is.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler 10-1-20 for $3.99. Canned 7-30-20; consumed 11-14-20. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured a hazy golden with a nice white head that has very good hang time.

Nose is a nice dose of fresh citrus.

Taste is a light pale malt base infused with orange, mango, and a touch of blueberries. Finishes with a nice touch of pine and rind bitterness; 6/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is light bodied and very refreshing.

Overall this is a well done NEIPA that is not a juice box but juicy with an appropriate amount of bitterness. Would have again!

Look: Moderately hazy and with a fairly small head but this could also be attributed to my inadequate pour skills. The head lasts all but a few seconds.

Nose: The nose is all unripe apricot.

Taste: A fairly complex profile of peach, apricot, even some slight citrus-y dryness. The aftertaste has some chalky notes but they are not very pronounced. Late bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium body and with low carbonation levels.

Overall: Many thanks once more to brentk56. This being one of Bearded Iris' flagships, it was a must-try for me. A really nice beer that is easy to drink and I can see it going well also with food.

From a 16oz. can purchased at the beer store.

Initial whiff is sweet, a little herbal, and bready. Fruity and light, mango transitions to citrus while a layer of hops floats just underneath. The overall effect is a gentle juicy hazy, with a light body and no evidence of alcohol. There are untold numbers of NEIPAs on the market right now, but this is one I'd actually come back to.

Hazy yellow with a finger of pearl white foam. Smell has an airy quality with notes of lemon, melon, lime, mango and peach all dancing around the sharp hops. Taste is much the same but now juicy instead of airy, mosaic hops cascade and lift the fruits through the sip. Getting some pine and floral notes in the hop finish. Feel is the winner here, bright, hoppy but perfectly balanced, good juice and weight. Another winner from BI

This ale more of the taste, hops and haze school. It can give you hops and taste with minimal haze, and it can give you hops and haze with minimal taste, and it give you all three concurrent or consecutive - but it can’t give you taste and haze without the hops. Hops are compulsory. It’s all hops, you see...
