One of my favorite IPA's to date. Mellow enough that my wife, who does not like hoppy beer, agreed it was tasty, for an IPA.

My first offering from Bearded Iris. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. This beer pours out a hazy murky golden orange color with a off yellow crown. The smell is juicy with citrus and the taste is a balanced citrus without making it too tart like. Soft and dry mouthfeel but overall really nothing too crazy.

What. The. Hell. ! This looked like an orange protein shake. Had this before and it was fairly clear. This stuff made M-43 look like water. Pretty sure it gave me a sore throat too. That said, it was still pretty tasty!

Pours a completely opaque golden orange color. Thin white head dissipates steadily leaving no residual head. Cloudy floaters are observed in the bottom third of the glass.

Aroma is bright - notes of orange, grapefruit, citrus, and a slightly astringent hop aroma.

Taste has notes of orange, grapefruit, tangerine, and papaya. Nice cracker malt backbone is present with a slightly more bitter than anticipated finish. Semi-sweet through to the finish when that hop bite cuts it a bit.

Feel is medium bodied with gentle moderate carbonation. A bit sticky for an IPA.

Overall a nice IPA. I really enjoyed the flavor profile and I'd happily drink this again.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/18/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy medium orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, herbal, grassy, zesty bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a delicious NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; refreshingly smooth and easy to drink; with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Spot on soft feel for the style. Great mosaic hop showcase. Juicy/light dank hop complexity; balanced malts/oats, and not overly sweet/heavy. Definitely past prime as expected, but it held up well enough. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

this is kind of their house ipa i think, an oat based hazy pale straw colored brew with a huge dry hopping of mosaic, all good things and very well executed. i thought all the hoppy stuff we had in here was very good, well ahead of the nashville average in the style it seems. this one is pretty thick looking in the glass, but the aroma of fresh mosaic is intense and awesome, almost like cryo mosaic or the mosaic lupulin powder folks are starting to use, like more mosaic than mosaic itself, somehow concentrated but also fresh here, no hop burn to it at all when i taste it, and lingering and oily and bright through the finish, pineapple and lemongrass to it, nice earthy balance from the dry cereal malts here and the oats, which give this a smooth round body and a splendid textural softness. its almost creamy to drink on, so juicy with all the mosaic, and cleaner at the end for what it is, still real low bitterness though. the kind of hazy ipa i can and want to drink several of, but that was true of all of the hoppy beer we had in here. these guys are doing the hazy thing really well at the moment!

Drinking a pint at the source.
It is a hazy gold color with a small white head. There is some delicate lace.
All citrus aroma.
Grapefruit taste mostly, but some orange also.
Medium bodied.
Very nice.
