16 oz can, 12/18/19, ploughshare widemouthed glass.

Moderately deep hazy creamy blonde with a creamy head of 1 finger of head, receding to a fingernail leaving lots of lace behind.

Wonderful dank aromas on top of notes of apricot and peach, mango, blood orange, and blueberries.

Flavor is powerful. Huge dank mango, apricot, peach, pear, and tangerine. Hints of aspirin give it extra bite. It finishes on juicy grapefruit and very subtle hints of sweet tarts or shock tarts candy.

Feel is soft and supple, very creamy, acidic, juicy, everything you'd expect, just on a smaller level than the big boys from New England.

Overall another fantastic hazy from these beer experts in Nashville. Wonderfully executed. Recommended.

Bottle at share. Murky pour, fluffy head, big tart (?) aroma. Fruity flavors, citrus, normal tart flavors, but this is an IPA. Nice juicy hops, lingering bitterness.

Glowing opaque yellow-gold with a thin, bright white blanket.

This has an unusual dankness that's sort of peppery and rindy, while tropical notes of mango are accented by a hint of aspirin, cannabis and Sweet Tarts.

This is another exceptionally soft, smooth medium-bodied ale from these guys, while a light crispness actually dries this one out on the finish.

It was recommended to me by the bartender at the brewery.

Hazy bright light yellow color with great head and lacing. Very citrus smell and taste. Mango and tangerine flavors. Nice soft feel. Very pleasant to drink.

L: Incredibly hazy and pale yellow. It looks like unfiltered mango juice with about a half finger of white head.

S: Beautiful citrus. Pineapple, orange, and mango are pronounced. You get some slight peach and pine at the end.

T: Pretty much follows the nose note for note, however, there is a very enjoyable bit of pepper-like spice at the end with a refreshing acidity. You don't taste the 8.2%.

F: Medium bodied, juicy, medium carbonation that offers a crispness on the tongue.

O: This is a phenomenal beer. Incredibly easy to drink. Incredibly balanced. Beautiful finish. It will sneak up on you because it's hard to remember the ABV.

Hazy golden pour with a finger of white head.
Smells of grapefruit, pineapple, mango on the nose.
Taste follows pretty closely, not as much graspefruit as the nose implies.
Medium body, smooth, low bitterness.
Overall another tasty one from BI!

Had from can two weeks old, Dec 2018

This is the best of all BI beers I've had to date - just a crazy good version of the NE style ipa. Definitely up there with any of the vaunted Treehouse, Trillium, Civil Society top of category examples.

I've cracked open a number of cans and bottles in my day, and never has an IPA's aroma wafted through a room like this one upon opening it. A harbinger of what this will look, taste, and feel like.

This stuff is absolutely mind-blowing. Its fruitiness, its haziness, its deliciousness...is absolutely indistinguishable from the authentic players in the NEIPA game at Trillium, Tree House, Alchemist, etc. Absolutely masterful.

A 16 fl. oz. can, canned on 4th September 2018, ‘A real driver knows what’s in his car’. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.

Appearance: A murky hazy mango juice orange with a one finger white head that had decent retention but only left sparse lacing.

Aroma: Mango, pineapple, peach, mandarin, citrus rind and a touch of pine.

Taste: Juicy, mango, peach and pineapple, citrusy mandarin, orange rind and a hint of spice on the backend.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: A wonderful Double IPA with great flavours that made it just so easy to drink.

L - 1.5 finger sparse white head atop a milky yellow body.

S - pineapple, grapefruit, mango, honey, grass.

T - tons of pineapple and mango. Grapefruit is present on the edges. A little dank. Very smooth middle. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium-full, creamy body with lower than average carb.

O - very tasty. So well balanced with tons of tropical flavors.

(2018)

Pours a murky yellow-orange. Almost no head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is citrus and floral.

Taste is mainly bubblegum and tropical fruits. There's also mango, grapefruit, and hoppyness. Orange peel. Maybe some pineapple.

Mouth is smooth and pillowy.

Overall, this is awesome. Like a heavier version of Homestyle and with some interesting flavors included.

Canned 9/4/18.
L: hazy golden yellow. Completely opaque. About 2 fingers of head and loads of residual lacing. If I swirl contents of glass, the dense frothy head can be revived again leaving heaps of lacing. Very appealing look-wise.
S: man, this is full of fruit flavor. Pineapple, mango, papaya, lemon, grapefruit, banana and kiwi all noted. Some black pepper and lemon grass aspects as well, mostly likely from the hops. This smells like a juice bomb.
T: follows the nose, but I pick up some peach and apricot on the taste and less citrus. Besides peach and apricot, this thing is loaded with pineapple, mango and papaya. Slight after tastes of strawberry and banana. Finish is fruit-sweet which lingers in the mouth. Very minimal grassy hop presence.
F: outstanding as well. Full in body and weight. Low carbonation making this beer smooth, soft and pillowy. Just how I like my NEIPAs.
O: this is an incredible NEIPA. For the style, it raises the bar. The juicy flavor is abundant, and it has the preferred (at least imo) feel as well. It’s perfect all around. It masks the 8.2abv dangerously well. Job well done Bearded Iris crew. This is great. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!

On tap at Tørst. Poured a very hazy orange juice color with a slight amount of white head. The smell has tons of citrus notes with a good grassy finish. The flavor is juicy as you’d expect with citra hops but gives a slight bitterness and the tiniest spice finish. Feel is smooth and finishes dry. Outstanding for the style. Always love citra hops. Used very well in this beer.

Appearance - The beer was super cloudy in appearance. This nails the style.

Smell - The beer had a malty orange nose. It reminded me of a faux orange juice.

Taste - Juicy orange hops take the front followed by an undertone of malty sweetness. What sets this off is the spice hiding in back. The beer is sweet, juicy, and spicy all at once.

Mouthfeel - There is a definite milkshake quality to the feel.

Overall - I have had several Bearded Iris, and I am impressed.

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, mango, peach), really nice diesel like. Is there any hop any sexier than Citra? And is there a more alluring beer style then the imperial IPA? So, naturally these two flavors marry up for a taste that kicks the Bearded Iris hoppy regimen straight through the uprights.

Attention Please! grabs the attention of the senses with its radiant citronella perfume. A backbone of tropical, herbal and grassy scents precede an expected foggy gaze of tapioca crowned with a sepia stained meringue. Sweet maltiness glosses over the tongue with a taste of honey, caramel and cashew but with the creaminess of shortcake.

As the hops exert their power on middle palate, the malt influence withers and then acquiesces to the vigilant fruit flavors and bitterness. Tangerine, mandarin orange and blood orange lead a lemon, lime and white grapefruit tang that adds a splash of juiciness before tightening into a smooth grassy, citrusy bitter orange taste to close. Mango, apricot and a hint of gooseberry roll onto the finish while the signature bite of lemon verbena, hemp and other fragrant botanicals dry the palate late in taste.

Medium full, seeming more rounded because of the persistence of doughy malts and an unwavering bready, sweet support; the ale's finish is malty dry and tantalizing with a linger of citrus peel and those muddled, catty herbs that flirt with the likeness of geranium and cannabis. But is smooth bitterness is assertive without becoming enamel stripping, bringing the next sip much sooner than should for such a strong ale.

Hazy look of pineapple juice. Smell of pineapple and oranges. Taste... right off the bat you can taste orange and pineapples and fades to a spicy end. Just enough hop flavor at the very end but not much at all. Mouth feel was exactly as the can described. Pillowy! SUPER Smooth and enjoyable. I will be making a trip back up to TN for more.

Juice like appearance. Hazy pale gold with a 1 finger eggshell head.

Tropical nose. Pineapple, orange, and tangerine.

Big flavor. Pineapple and mango. Citrus undertones.

Soft mouthfeel. Juicy. Medium carbonation.

Best BI I've had. Smooth, juicy, and bursting with flavor.

Smell: Grassy, juicy a hint of dankness. Big juicy fruit orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple. Creamy yogurt. It smells wonderful!

Taste: Right away you notice how creamy this beer is. Upfront it like a citrus smoothie juicy orange, tangerine, yogurt. Middle of the mouth you get some tropical fruit pineapple mango, a tiny bit of malt, wheat bread. The beer finishes with some herbaceous notes, grapefruit peel and citrus zest. A moderate bitterness sticks to the sides of your tongue with citrus zest and spice lingering in the aftertaste.

Feel: Full bodied. Super creamy and soft. Juicy. It's a great mouthfeel.

Overall: A wonderful first beer to have from these guys. It's easily world class. I'll definitely be seeking out more beers from these guys!

With the flood of local DIPAs over the last few months, this one is easily my favorite and might be my favorite local brew in all.

Pours is hazy and golden with minimal head. Nose is all citrus and other tropical flavors. Feel is soft and "pillowy". Taste is so smooth with very little bitterness, no boozy taste and at 8.2% watch-out.

This beer is so juicy and amazing!
Golden, slightly orange haze, but not off putting.
Mango, peach, orange on the nose. Taste is the same.
Incredibly light. Dangerously smooth for a DIPA.
Bearded Iris is cranking out some great brews!

This is an exceptional beer. Easily my favorite in Nashville and possibly one of my favorites overall. I would put it up there with Heady Topper and Pliny, and yes I have had both.

Love the golden haze, nose citrus, grapefruit, orange, mango. Taste is just the same with a slight bitterness at the end.

Very well balanced and just oh so sooth. Incredible for a DIPA. Truly is pillowy.

Amazing beer.

Without question my favorite beer in Nashville. Bearded Iris masterfully crafts the juiciest of IPAs, but this Double tastes like you should be drinking it out of a Capri-Sun straw. First batch on draft blew my mind. Same batch in cans continued to deliver for months. The newest batch (2nd) lives up to my own beer soaked expectations. Least boozy DIPA I've ever had the pleasure to imbibe. #DankNation
