Canned 12/22/17; drank 1/24/18 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice white head; a thick curtain of lace.
Pineapple, orange citrus, lemon, mild cane sugar & faint dry grass notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus & lemon flavors up front; mild dry grass & faint cane sugar notes on the finish. Fruity, soft with a mild dryness for balance; NE IPA excellence.
Bravo!

This beer marks the Tennessee slot, now I have two left before I check off the rest of the states including D.C. The beer is served in a pint glass. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a pint glass. The head of the beer is creamy and airy with fair retention. The head of the beer left zero lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is straw yellow with pale yellow hues. The yeast in the beer creates serious cloudiness. The beer appearance is good. The the lack of head retention is sad.
The aromas in the beer are oranges, yeast, lemons, herbal, floral, crackers, mangos, pineapple and honey like sweetness.
The flavors in the beer are crackers, yeast, oranges, bay leaves, floral esters, pineapple, honey, earthy, pine, and grapefruit.
The mouthfeel of the beer is crisp and astringent.
The body of the beer is medium, high carbonation, and a full finish.
The beer has this huge hop profile for an IPA. Citrus is prevalent first and foremost then follow by traditional hop flavors. Rich earthy malts gives the beer depth. This beer is a solid IPA with big bright hop profile. Balanced beer with great harmony.

Second product, I've tried from Bearded Iris. NE cloudy appearance with decent half inch head with lacing. Aroma is refreshingly citrusy, and sharp. Taste is crisp and juicy, with a nice zing of piney and citrusy bitterness. Malt was a little hard to access but the Oats came through in the feel, very silky and and soft. Very easy to drink, almost tonic-like but still seems hop forward (watch the 6.8%!!!). I could drink this on a regular basis.

Pours a murky golden color, could be the fruit pulp floating, just kidding. Small white head falls pretty quick from an aggression pour not much lace either.
Aroma is pineapple juice, lemon pulp, and some orange thrown in for good measure with a little something thrown in a touch of spice or earthiness?
Taste is like the nose pretty much definite lemon zest going on can see the melon more in the flavor then the nose. Finish is lightly hoppy with that light spice earthy note that I smelled coming out.
Mouthfeel is only medium not as full bodied as it looks carbonation is lightly peppy and seems to aide with lemon zest.
Overall eh not there best IPA but it is a little different if that what your looking for, not bad just wouldn't go to it again.

All oiled up and noplace... Actually, Bearded Iris goes in a lot of directions with Tunnel Vision as the use of Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops layer upon an oaten malt base for a plethora of tropical, citrus and herbal action.
Tunnel Vision comes as hazy as tapioca. A burnish golden color and a creamy meringue top the glass while a host of radiant citrus comes through in a strong lemonade kind of way. Backed with succulent tropical fruit and a grassy, herbaceous and woodsy scent, the ale rolls onto the palate with a creamy caramel, honey and fructose laden sweetness.
Bright and strongly fruit forward on the middle palate, the malt and creamy oats relax slightly and allow the hop oils to take full control. As the taste of white and pink grapefruit, lemon and lime saturate the palate, the ale once again trails with pineapple, kiwi and cantaloup. Closing with an herbal bite, the ale trends tea-like with muddled lemon leaf, fresh cut grass and freshly shaven sassafras.
Peppery and woodsy, the medium bodied IPA is on a drying track, but the bready malts and creamy oats pull back in a slight cakey fashion. Its bright and spicy finish carries a pang of hop derived astringency and an overall vegetative character that stems from the hops in a way that's agreeable to taste. A long bitterness is piquant and juicy with the rinds of all those glorious tropical and citrus fruits.

Thanks goes out to Buck89 for this brew.
16 oz. Can
Canned On: 11/27/17
Poured into a Yazoo glass a very nice cloudy orangy color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, melon, slight lemon), pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, melon, slight lemon), pretty nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. A little bit different than other's I've had from BI. Addictive! Orange Julius! Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks John!

I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!!!! CANNED 03/20/18.
Hazy but opaque lightly orange yellow with short 1-finger off-white head that falls away quickly.
Aroma is aggressive with pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, guava, resin, pine, garlic/onion on a substantial nondescript pale malt background.
Flavor is similarly aggressive with huge citrus and guava/passionfruit flavor with herbal note on the end. Malt contribution is very slightly sweet and grainy. No yeast esters and bitterness is medium to high. It is hard to know if it is the alcohol or esters in the finish/aftertaste, fuel-like.
Feel is also aggressive but it's bark is a lot worse than the bite as there is not biting mouthfeel, but some bracing bitterness.
This beer is not messing around -- it is going for (your) the throat.

Thanks to Grizzarky for this one, from his NBS BIF#5 box. 16oz can, poured into Bearded Iris goblet. Poured a solidly opaque orange-yellow color with just over a half-inch of white head that had moderate retention and left decent lacing.
There was a very light malt base in the nose, but the scent was dominated by fruity hops. The label called for lemon and melon, but I got more orange and a touch of floral. Pretty similar taste profile, with the addition of a touch of grapefruit on the finish.
The body was light-medium, and finished dry. Drinkability was good, my can was gone without any struggle. Overall, a solid brew, one I would likely revisit on occasion if it were local to me. Worth trying if you see it.
