Notes: Focus, focus. This IPA showcases a blurred-edge mouthfeel, multilayered juiciness of Mosaic and Citra, and a chewy, lemon starburst zing courtesy of El Dorado oil. This variant incorporates a double dry-hop of Citra, because why not more Citra?

Canned 6/6/22 (3 months ago)

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (20% clarity) medium orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong and resinous aromas of orange, mandarin orange, some tropical berry notes, and cantaloupe melon. Resinous and sweet on the aroma. (3.75)

Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, tropical berry, light pine notes. Finishes relatively dry. (3.75)

Feel: Light to medium bodied. Strong carbonation. A prickly mouthfeel. (3.75)

Compared to Bearded Iris Attention Please 9/6/22: Pours a similar appearance. Similar aromas. Slightly more tropical berry and less mandarin orange.

Compared to Bearded iris Ever Clever 9/6/22: Pours a similar appearance, hazier. More mandarine orange and tropical berry. Less lemon citrus and orange citrus rind.

Overall: A decent NEIPA here. It has strong orange, mandarin orange, followed by some tropical cantaloupe and berry notes. Most prominent is a prickly mouthfeel, maybe from the DDH. A light body does not stand up to it. Finishes prickly, and somewhat dry. Could use a bit more body and softness here. (Rating: 3.75)

16 FL. OZ. can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours a yellowish shade of orange and is turbid. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.

Slight medicinal smell. Some citrus

Medicinal and citrus flavor

Medium bodied and creamy mouthfeel

Decent beer

L: Pours golden with foamy carbonation, shiny under the head

S: Big citra hop aroma

T: That's a good hazy. Fruity tasting hops, smooth malts, and pine resin on the finish.

F: Finishes nicely.

O: Solid pick.

Three months old and really tasty. Cloudy, tan/dirty orange, mild head and lacing. Nose is strong citrusy notes of orange and lemon. Taste is not as strong as the scent, but still juicy and citrusy. Lighter bodied, mild boozy presence, mouth watering. I like it.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Daily Growler in Powell, Ohio. I assume its the Citra DDH version....based on the scent. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had wonderful citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright citrus fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its another solid beer from the Iris!

Rerated on 3/13/22 - lowered mouthfeel from 4.0 to 3.75. A fine beer but there is some chalkiness to this one.

Poured from a can dated 35 days out. Poured with decent amount of head that diminished quickly. Great flavor and feel but as the beer sat, the bitterness increased upfront and on the backend.

Pours a hazy golden. It's got a weird artificial chalky candy aroma. It's got lots of grapefruit, some plasticky artificial fruit character. It's a bit muted and muddled and honestly doesn't really express Citra in its best form. Not my favorite.

A - Hazy pale orange body, no transparency but some translucence. White head, short at about half an inch, but pretty persistent, fading to an 1/8" cap. Lots of line lacing, small bubbles scattered over the glass.

S - Big bright citrus foremost, lemon and grapefruit, orange as well, with just a bit of pith.

T - Clean citrus juice in the open, a mild malt sweetness below, and a sour and pithy bitter bite in the close.

M - Strong carbonation, mild weight, slightly dry finish with just a bit of lingering resin build over time.

O - Superb. A lovely, delicious IPA, with lots of hop fruitiness and a bit of dry bite in the finish. Quite enjoyable.

Have had this beer so many times I've lost count.
Sometimes you forget that there's a gap in your reviews.
This 16 oz can was born on 2/23/21 and I'm pouring it into a BIBCO Willie Beecher tonight.

Glowing medium blonde-gold juice with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, leaving connected lacing as it recedes.

Sweaty Citra hop and a touch of spoilage already from the can, perhaps this batch had a little oxygen contact. From the glass it's less prominent, and I get more classic Tunnel Vision - orange sherbet, lime sherbet, doughy malt, and lemon grass.

Flavor is better than the last batch I had in October. Orange and lime sherbets, white grapefruit, pleasant grassy bitterness, and a bit of lemon water. There's a distinct edge to this beer, it's very sharp and direct.

Feel is semi-hard, with heavy carbonation, still a decent amount of acidity/juice, and no alcohol heat in sight. Ends crisp and dry.

Tunnel Vision is a beer I nearly always pick up when I am down in Tennessee. It's a surefire beer and one I'll keep purchasing. Belches are tiny lemon bombs. Amazing.

16oz can poured into a snifter

A- pours a hazy orange color with a one finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring

S- dank nose with aromas of hemp, orange pulp, grapefruit zest, a hint of pineapple

T- juicy and zesty citrus up front with notes of grapefruit and tangerine, mid palate gives a hint of pine, the finish gives more citrus zest

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler 11-7-20 for $3.99. Canned 10-12-20; consumed 2-17-21. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured a hazy golden orange with a beautiful long lasting white head.

Nose is nice, citrus forward but nothing overly pungent.

Taste is very nice, lighter pale malt base allows grapefruit and orange to shine thru. Finishes with a nice pine and rind bitterness; 8/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is delightfully light; very easy sipping and refreshing.

Overall another excellent brew from BIB!
