Thanks goes out to Buck89 for this brew.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 08/15/18

Poured into a tulip glass a pretty nice dark brown/black color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger tan head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, with some pretty nice chocolate/toffee notes, vanilla, coffee, licorice. The taste is pretty nice, malty, with some nice chocolate/toffee, pretty nice vanilla, nice touch of coffee, some licorice. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice bitter/dry finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Really nice sweetness, you would never know this is almost 10% ABV. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks John!

Pour is black with a thick tan head, significant leakage on the edges, look is closer to an imperial porter. Nose is oh so much chocolate, with some vanilla as well. My mouth is watering like Niagara Falls.

The taste is a milk chocolate/vanilla combo pack extraordinaire - this is a beer chocolate milkshake. The body is just a bit thin for an imperial stout, but this is an excellent drinking experience, IMHO.

16oz can poured into Transient grenade glass - 12/18/17 - “GIMME THAT DAMN DOG”

Pour is very dark brown with a dense cap of tan foam. Nose starts as burnt brownie edges and chocolate wafer. Taste is nutty with a deep, rich fudge base. Chocolate milk beer!? Nice smooth feel. I will be looking for more like this from these guys in the future.

From the brewery that brought the haze craze to the south comes the unthinkable- dark, opaque, ominous, sweet and savory. Bearded Iris takes a moment to get out of the hop fields and into the baking aisle.

V. Fudge pours a viscous, marshmallowy appearance with a patient separation of froth from beer. Deep brown and looking the part of chocolate syrup, the scent soon follows with a lavish chocolatey tone. Caramel, vanilla and cream all work to give a promised fudgy scent across the senses. Sweet and robust on the early palate, the taste of chocolate, sweet cream, toffee and pulled candy keep the decadence front and center.

The middle palate is a long continuation of the creamy sweetness that's established early on the tongue. Caramel, cream and chocolate apply a film of convincing fudge broadly across the tastebuds. Bitterness creeps in with the form of bold roast coffee, black walnut and a dark woodsy type of earth. Wavering in its marshmallow consistency, the finish lightens considerably and suddenly to a velvety smooth, bittersweet finish.

Full and nougat-like on the early and middle palate, the finish is less viscous and chewy but still trends like latte on the late palate. The booze of kahlua, cream de cacao and bailey's has a soft and savory liquor warmth with an extended afterglow of hot chocolate and coffeehouse latte.

On tap at the source on release day. Served cold and got much better as it warmed. Dark and nearly opaque color with a creamy tan head.
Aroma: cocoa, oatmeal, coffee, and earthy notes.
Taste: deep, dark chocolate flavor with an assertive earthy bitterness. A restrained bit of vanilla and lactose balanced it out. I got less booze than others.
Feel: fantastic. big and slightly sticky but not overly sweet. soft with low-to-moderate carb in line with the style.
Overall: a great imp stout. The feel is the best aspect but the flavors are well-balanced IMO. Will be nice to see their BA version.
