Pours a very cloudy golden yellow color with a thick foamy head. Head retention is very good, as is lacing. Maybe a little light on the aroma, but still good. More tropical citrus and melon. Juicy citrus taste. There is some melon with some lemon at the end. Mild bitterness. Just a hint of resin. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

L: Pale orange juice with a sparse head and lace.

S: Tangerine citrus and grassiness. Mmm.

T: Follows the nose. Good but not stellar.

F: Medium body, too soft with lower than average carbonation.

O: Great beer - least favorite of the three I've tried - but I'd certainly enjoy another!

16oz can served in a pint glass. Dated 11/14/19.

Pours a hazy bright yellow with a medium head and looks like a lot of carbonation. Smell is mango and citrus pith, but fairly mild.

Taste is mostly similar, with a stronger citrus character and a nice resinous finish.

Mouthfeel is dry and resinous. Overall, really nice beer.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 11/14/19, so a month old.

Looks good in the glass. Pale orange juice colored body. Small white head which dissipates to a ring and covering. A little lacing.

Faint citrus aroma with a little grassiness.

I am loving the taste of this one. A nice bite on the tongue, great balance of citrus, earthiness, and a little pine. There is a really pleasing warmth throughout the throat and upper chest.

Mouth close to full, a little soft, and a nice bite to the finish.

Overall, a well crafted ne IPA. Sorry to have only one other in the fridge.

IPA double dry hopped with Citra. Poured from a can into a Streetside pub glass. Hazy bright orange in color with a thin head. Extremely bright, citrusy nose. Lots of lemon, orange, peach, and a hint of lavendar.

Medium body with an oily feel. Sharp lemon and orange peel up front supported by some mild biscuit-like notes. The malt notes fade at mid-palate, but not the hops. They intensify as the beer moves across your palate and continue to sharpen until you reach the finish, where the lemon lingers along with a hint of ginger ale. Low carbonation.

Another winner from Bearded Iris. My only gripe is that it was a bit undercarbonated. I feel so fortunate to have this inexplicable access to their beers way up here in Northern Kentucky. I have had people who visit Nashville tell me that they can hardly find any of their beers down there. Well, what can I say but what the heck are you doing loitering around bottle shops looking for 4-packs of their beers? You're right there, so go to the source good people!

I know some people don’t like the hazy style, but this one looks picture perfect for me. The best shade of golden orangish yellow with an abundance of billowing head resting on top. Huge pineapple hits you first in the aroma. Grapefruit and some lemon are in there too, but the pineapple dominates. Taste is a little muted from the nose, but not diminished. The same flavors from the nose find their way to my tastebuds with a great hop burn on the back end which is accompanied by some lemon zest. Finishes with a little sweetness from the pineapple flavors. Body is kind of soft at first but becomes prickly with the hop burn and carbonation. Medium bodied. Overall it’s a solid IPA and the use of citra elevates it.

New to the Memphis market and I'm really excited to be able to get this regularly now....lemony and citrusy... soft and pillowy... very smooth... another winner from the BI crew... they definitely know how to pump these out and this is a very tasty one... recommended if you see it.. delicious!

L - 1.5 finger yellowish fizzy head atop an opaque yellow body.

S - strong tangerine and pineapple, with a hint of herb.

T - follows the nose. Tangerine and pineapple, lemon, melon, earth, wrapped in dankness. Slightly dirty middle, with a touch of hop burn. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium body with lower carb.

O - excellent fruit flavors.

Poured into a pint glass. A bright hazy yellow bomb with a thick white head. Aroma was an equally bright lemony citrus along with some herbal resin. The first sip brought mouth-watering citrus flavors. Mainly orange and lemon, with moderate bitterness. Pineapple and dank resin joined in on the finish. Slightly astringent. All of this was wrapped in a medium-bodied pillowy blanket. Well done.

Pouring like orange juice in color with a white head. Nose almost makes the jaws tingle with pain, then makes the mouth water. Taste is everything that is good about NE Style IPAs. If a beer can be scrumptious this one is.

16 ounce can, very hard to read date. It was printed on the bottom lip of the can ?/19/18. 10 or 11, part of the fresh distro to GA. Still within IPA reason.
Pours a pale yellow, hazy, with a soapy head. Medium sticky lacing on the glass as I drink.
Upon cracking the can, I got a punch of onion and sweaty socks. Thankfully after pouring into a tulip the nose changed.
In glass, whiffs of soft tropical fruit, guava, blood orange, florals.
Taste is overripe pineapple, lemon and orange, grassy, slightly herbal finish. Man I love Citra.
Mouthfeel is light, lively, thinner finish. Hoping for some chew.
Overall, another winner from Bearded Iris. I love everything they’re doing.

Date: From a crowler canned and consumed on 10/18/18.

Appearance: Milky yellow, total haze bomb, zero clarity, with a finger of fizzy white head.

Aroma: Mucho mango up front with the standard Bearded Iris oat stuffed backbone. There is of course other assorted citrus fruits including pineapple and orange. This double dry hopped version also adds a good amount of aermatics to the mix with additional green hop and herbal notes.

Taste: It is much the same as the nose with the sweet fruity and green hops up front before it turns somewhat bitter with oat malts. It has a fairly chewy mouthfeel, there is almost and imperial stout weightiness here. If I had to say anything negative about Bearded Iris, it would be that many of their beers seem like variations on the same base beer and for all I know, they might be. Personal prejudices aside, this is a nice beer, as every one I've had from them has been. I'm just not the biggest fan of oated IPAs, but if you are, then this is a quality beer.

In what is universally known as the "cheat code" for IPA, the brewers at Bearded Irish have no problem going into such beast mode with a double dosing of Citra hops in the late additions of beer making, taking their Tunnel Vision New England styled IPA to new heights.

Although the beer still has a dense and golden visual viscosity of tapioca, its aromas are tantalizingly fruity with all things citronella. Above its frothy dense ivory cap dances a medley of herbaceous botanicals to go along side of the citrus notes for a bold impression of creamsicle. Sweet and succinct on the early palate a malty taste of angel food cake, honeysuckle and faint caramel and the underpinnings of a creamy orange flavored dessert begins to build.

And then the citrus flavors explode just as readily on the middle palate as it does on the nose. A radiant and juicy taste of pink grapefruit juice, orange juice, lemon and lime all swoon on the tongue with that anticipated sherbet-like taste. Slim suggestions of mango and pineapple lurk in the background just as the ale turns to introduce a modestly bitter balance that's coated with chive, juniper, green tea, sassafras and lemon verbena.

Medium bodied, creamy and malty dry, the beer strives for balance while retaining a creamy oatmeal quality and preventing the bitterness from dominating the fruit flavor. A medium long linger of freshly grated citrus and those herbal qualities that hint toward hemp resonates with a spicy pep of gin.

A: Opaque yellow-orange. Thin white head that dissipates but never completely disappears.

S: Citra hops and bright fruit.

T: This is like hop juice but with tropical fruits. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango, some citrus, hop juice! Finishes dry with an astringent orange/lemon peel note that lingers.

M: A typical NEIPA mouthfeel but not too thick and not too thin. Pillowy yet bitey.

O: My favorite not only from this brewery but in style. Amazing.

Huge orange, nice light hop bitterness, yeast, grapefruit, green hop character on some sips, light malt sweetness, mango

Delicious. Citra hops shine through and it's not purely yeast driven. Reminiscent of some narrow gauge and ddh TG. Wish more Chicago breweries were doing the hazy stuff at this caliber
