The pale ale is a lighter, refreshing, full bodied session beer. Session beer: one who retains the flavorful taste of a craft beer, but allows you to enjoy a few without seeing double. It is a light copper color, has a crisp, flavorful taste, an alcohol content between 5-6%, and an International Bitterness Unit (IBU) between 30-45. Whether you're taking a break from surfing or putting some time in at the mountain lodge, this beer just works.

Pours a golden effervescent hue with moderate frothing. Mellow aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Crisp flavor. Easily drinkable. Not bad.

Very nice NJ pilsener; not had 902 before, also enjoying their PATH - similar in May ways, good depth and balance and not too strong so you can enjoy a couple. And it’s beer, not a cold consommé of hops and fruit juice.

3rd Review. Being from Jersey, I try as many NJ beers as I can, where my favorite local Carton is in my home town, Atlantic Highlands, which has great minerally well water. Much of NJ has mineral rich water, which is why our pizzas and bagels along with NYC's excel. 902 Jersey city excels at this advantage also.
a) Clouds of lace hang over the snifter along with lasting puffy white head over a coudy yellow hazed body.
s) A little soap and mineral along with biscuit and lemony hop.
t) follows the smell, some pine, lemon rind.
f) Crisp, mineral feel.
o) Built as a mountain lodge or post surf session beer, this just works.

On-tap at Jack and Co, Hoboken, NJ
A: The beer is slightly hazy yellowish amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles in the center and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—oranges seem to stand out in particular.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of orange citrus along with noted of pale malts and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and goes down easily. It's not overly flavorful or bitter, but makes for a good choice for someone who is getting into craft beer. It can be considered sessionable.

Not the normal depth you find in a 902. On the other hand this is a "Session" ale. Meant to be consumed for long periods of time. So it's not a bad option for a session pale ale
