Notes: Tiarna is a blend of two beers, one aged in oak and fermented with 100% brettanomyces and the other fermented in stainless with a blend of two belgian yeast strains. Both beers were brewed with a combination of 2 row and wheat malt in addition to specialty grains. It was hopped with Hallertau, Styrian Goldings and Cascade hops. The finished beer is dark golden in color with citrus, pineapple and bread in the aroma. The flavor of this tart beer has notes of grapefruit, lemon, and bread crust, and a long, dry finish.

Looks & tastes like champagne. Aged amazingly. The carb alone is stunning. Opened 7/4/15, so roughly 1.5 years old. Bright and crisp with light hay funk and white wine/grape sweetness.

September 16, 2015 bottling date.

A: Pours a hazy gold. Fizzy and tall white head. Head dissipates quickly, gradually slowing down as it goes. Minimal lacing.

S: Bits of tropical fruit, primarily pineapple. Hints of citrus. Bready. Definitely tart.

T: Pineapple, grapefruit and lemon peel up front. Tart but not overly sour. Lots of bread crust on the back end. Crisp, quick finish with light bits of oak and citrus rind. Hints of grass or hay too.

M: Medium bodied, dry and crisp.

O: Nice lightly tart wild ale. Lots of brett character between the tropical fruit and the bread crust. Not super sour or funky but it's there. Very crisp and refreshing.

Light golden pear color with a super fizzy and sprite head.

Nice subtle tangy aroma with notes of fresh flowers, Chardonay, mineralization and Apple cider vinegar.

The flavor is tangy with honeysuckle, sour with Apple cider vinegar, and funky with flowers, white grapes and white wine.

The feel is tangy as well with a bit of sour and a nice easy smoothness.

Tangy, funky, and sour, this beer is simple but fun.

An American wild ale made with, inter alia (look it up), one ale aged in oak barrels and fermented with 100% Brettanomyces and another in stainless steel with Belgian yeast. This comes in at 7.1% ABV. Color is medium-dark golden. Smell is heavy on the Brett with good amount of breadiness and some citrus. Has a nice sour consistency but sweet at the end, almost like cherries or candy - maybe even some pineapple. Mouthfeel is strong carbonation with some peppery notes. This is a beer you should definitely get. I give it a definite A. My only complaint is that the bottle is not big enough.

375ml C&C, bottled October 2013, poured into a Cantillon taster 7/7/2014.

A- Bright, clean and clear straw yellow body with a nice bubbly two-finger white head with excellent retention. It looks very refreshing and a nice change-up for the night.

S- Citrus zest, pineapple, pale malt, a bit of leathery funk. It's certainly a different nose than most other Brett beers I've had.

F- Pineapple, pale malt, Belgian candi sugar, lemon zest. This is quite interesting as this is clearly a Brett beer but there is more to be found, which makes sense given the blending of different threads.

M- A bit on the thinner side but well carbonated and drinks clean and very dry. The end is a bit more bitter than I'd like, presumably from the noble hopping, accompanied by a crisp, spicy Belgian yeast finish.

O- Interesting, different given the blending of different threads but certainly not in the conversation for the better Brett beers out there.
