On-tap 11/8/2016 at Julian’s in Providence, RI, served in a flute glass.
A: The beer is a cloudy light yellow color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains esters, tart citrus, wild Belgian yeast, light caramelized malts and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out tart with flavors of citrus, wine-barrel aging essence and wild Belgian yeast. Then some mild breadiness comes in from a thin malt character. Then everything transitions from tartness to a mild sweetness. There’s a good balance. The after-taste is slightly tart.
M: Crisp and smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and clean.
O: Tasty and complex, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.
