750 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled 5/31/17, had 7/30/17.

Pours a cloudy yellow, with a one and a half inch foamy head and lots of foamy lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, brett, some funk, black pepper, cloves, other spices, a fruity aroma as it warms. Really smells good. The taste also starts with Belgian yeast, and brett, then malt, spices, some crackers and bread, a light fruity flavor, a slight bitterness underneath. A touch sweet up front. Smooth, a solid body, refreshing, semi dry, well carbonated.

The rhubarb is really subtle, but this is just a very good and enjoyable saison. Scored it on its merits, but there’s lots of good saisons and since the rhubarb was the hook....

This 2017 Fluxus landed in my lap, but I’m very excited to try it.

Pours a murky gold,, opaque, and with seltzery carbonation spritzing up from the base. A quickly dissipating head of thin foam.

The aromas hit you with tart tropical fruit. That bitter yeast is also very evident on the nose, a smell I’ve always loved. I even get hints of fruit pits, Leaning lo wards apricots.

Dry and bitter right away. You expect a burst of flavor to follow but it is very mild. Subtle spiciness, and very mild apricot with that rhubarb definitely coming through. Hard to pull much else out right away aside from some breadiness.

Seltzery, dry, and light . Definitely drinking like a champagne, great body and not much else to say.

This farmhouse was definitely different. Intrigued by the inclusion of rhubarb and the promising dry tropical notes on the nose, I was surprised by the subtle flavors and very dry body this beer had. By no means a bad thing, this is a very well executed beer, I just personally look for slightly more when drinking beers with Brett yeast.

750ml corked and caged bottle poured into snifter

A: Generous tiny bubbled white head looks like good carbonation. Body is a murky burnished amber in color.

S: Lots of Rhubarb and strawberry with some light clove and wheat.

T: Lots of Strawberry and Rhubarb o. The flavor with a little clove and banana and some sweetness. Has a nice light cracker and almost light doughiness on the finish.

M: Very lively on the tongue with the carbonation, yet it drinks light and smooth.

O: Not a bad beer. I don’t know if it’s worth the price but it has some nice Rhubarb and strawberry flavors along with normal Belgian flavors.

Hazy apricot-orange with a thin fuzzy off-white ring.

Smell has an airy funk with wheat, a light spicy wood and brighter notes of peach and strawberry.

Taste is tart bretty funk and grass with wheat. Rhubarb is faint, and as far as fruit goes I get more of a pear flavor.

The frothy full body has a semi-dry, crisp finish.

L: Yellow and oragne colored, hazy, nice head and mild lace
S: Mild tartness, light balsamic-like notes, raspberry, cooked grains, light funkiness
T: Flavor is well balanced, restrained. Sourness is very light, gives notes of berries. Flavor is also mildly sweet.
F: Incredibly smooth, incredibly drinkable.
O: I really appreciate this beer, excellently crafted. Smooth, drinkable, flavorful, balanced, complex yet not overly so. Gives you a little taste of many different things, without harping on them. Big fan.

L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a yellow-orange color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Sparse lacing.

S: An interesting aroma of rhubarb, Belgian yeast, light fruit, wheat, and spices.

T: Tasted of a bit of Belgian yeast (present throughout), some rhubarb (less than expected), some mild spices (pepper), a little strawberry, some banana, and a hint of wheat. A pretty solid and fruity flavor all around. It didn't really remind me of a saison in every way, but it still worked. Light, sweet, and tasty.

F: A highly carbonated beer with a vibrant finish. Medium-bodied.

O; I won't say this is my favorite Allagash creation, but it's certainly enjoyable. Drinkable.
