Tried this at Eli Cannon's in Middletown, CT. Came in a tulip glass with no head and a clear rusty color. Smells fruity with apple cider being pronounced with some nice cinnamon notes. This is my first American Wild Ale so I can only report what I'm getting here. It's very tart, but pleasingly so and definitely has the apple cider vibe. There's some citrus notes in the back, but it's good. I'd try another American Wild Ale after this for sure. Good beer.

Had on tap. Just a fantastic sour ale. Pours a light burgundy with no head. The beer is tart, sour, and uncompromising in its bursting flavor. The nose is full of cherry and oak. The taste adds another level of depth with deep plum and hints of other berries, perhaps blackberry and blueberry. A beautiful summertime sipper.

A: Murky brown purple. Beautiful bubbly half finger of head.

S: deep and rich. subtle oak that is overtaken by tropical fruit juice concetrate. Seriously, it smells like juicy juice! nostalgia

T: Unbelievable. Super bright, beautifully tart. Not acidic or sour. Just bright, pleasant, and beautifully balanced. Plum for days. The bright tartness is offset/complimented by this deep rich clove/allspice. What more could you want

O: This bottle will not last long. Absolute grand slam by Allagash...probably my favorite wild ale with fruit I've ever had by them, and I've had a lot of 'em.

12.7 oz corked and caged bottle poured into a willybecher glass.

A: Big effervescent fizzy head that settles quickly slightly pink white in color. Body is a deep maroon in color with pretty good clarity.

S: This thing is bursting with cherries and plums and a slight candied smell almost like gummy bears. A slight bit of Belgian yeast seems to linger in the background.

T: light hints of Cloves and spice are right on the top and then a huge rush of slightly tart cherry and plum then finishing a little boozy with more of the fruit.

M: Very bubbly on the tongue medium bodied.

O: this beer is dynamite it is one of the most fruit forward spurs I’ve ever had the cherries and plum really sing and then backed with just a light bit of sourness. This beer is great.

In a teku, the beer was a garnet color. There was a small pinkish head that retained well. Some spotty lace.
A sweet fruit aroma, with a little bit of oak.
Nice taste of tary cherry, plum, and oak.
Crisp, tart mouthfeel with a mildly peppery finish.
I highly recommend it.
