Batch number 194. I let it age a bit. As I released the cork, I heard a stomp.
Golden color, just slightly hazy, with apparent carbonation and a huge thick head with excellent retention. It simply doesn’t go away.
Aroma of bananas, pears, pineapple, peaches, passion fruit juice and champagne. Actually every time I would smell it searching for aromas I would get a new fruit.
Flavor of pears, green apples, herbal hops, a hint of candied sugar, cloves and white peppers, nectarines, white grapes, some banana and passion fruit and oranges. Slightly tart. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation, slightly effervescent. Alcohol of 9% abv is in harmony with the overall beer.
This has aged well with good attenuation; it doesn’t feel sweet at all. Faithful to style, maybe a bit bitter, which is welcomed. This is sure an elegant and flawless Tripel that has nothing to lose to its Belgian top counterparties. Recommendable.
