The beer pours out in a hazy golden yellow with a big tiny bubbled white head.

The aroma is wonderful. Banana, bready Belgian yeast, tons of spice like clove. Some citrus.

The flavor follows. There's a punch of substantial fruit with banana, maybe a bit of orange. It reminds me more La Fin du Monde than the more traditional Belgian tripels with this fruit and sweetness. Then there's a good amount of bready sweetness. The spice comes through with pepper and clove.

There's also a kind bitterness on the end. A gentle amount of booze in there too. I can get where this becomes Curieux.

This is a really nice beer. I prefer La Fin du Monde with its complexity, but this is quite interesting with the tons of banana in the flavor. Highly recommended if the traditional Belgian tripels are too vinous or dry.
