Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.

A: Very cloudy pale straw, orange appears at the core if the glass is big enough, good loose bubbles visible. White 1-finger head is sticking around on my glass. Ambient loose particles sit in the body.

S: Ooh, that's good. Fragrant variety of fruits; I got some orange, pear, and cantaloupe, maybe even more going on here. Some mild spices, a pinch of white pepper and cinnamon even, some coriander, too.

T: Awesomely refreshing; all those fruits plus more- apples most notably. The spices are perfectly balanced. A touch of wheat. I love it.

M: Great carbonation adds some texture, the rest is refreshing and quenching, smooth.

O: Refreshing, crisp, thirst quenching. Incredible variety of fruits on the nose and palate with subtle spices to balance it perfectly. Makes me wish it was summer year-round. Great job, Allagash.

A - Has a 1/4 inch of head atop of a hazy bright yellow. mild sticky lacing to boot.
S - Mild hops, sweet grains, some coriander spice and obvious orange/lemon peel.
T - Grainy, sweet and balanced this beer is a great example of a Witbier mild orange peel and some hops. Tasty.
M - Light to medium on par with the style.

Overall for almost 4 bucks I can think of some cheaper offerings that match the quality. Kind of pissed since I ordered the Triple and got this but it's a tasty beer regardless.

Poured from the bottle into a stemless large wine glass...

A: Hazy/golden with a 1 finger head that disappears fairly quick, leaving residual lacing along the sides. Appeared lightly carbonated.

S: On the nose, the words that come to mind are - Light hops, citrus, spices and maybe some banana.

T: Citrus and grain hit me first, followed by spice, banana and a residual tartness (light). Crisp and refreshing.

M: Light and crisp with a light to medium mouthfeel.

O: To me, another good example of the style although I have other witbiers in mind that I think I like better. Definitely a good summer beer and very drinkable.

On tap in a pint glass.

A-Hazy golden yellow color with a bright white cap. Some lacing. It looks refreshing and drinkable.

S- Wheat beer with citrus (lemon and orange) and spice.

T- Light wheat sour taste, light citrus flavor, light sweet and spice.

M- Tart yet balanced. Well carbonated, crisp and refreshing.

O- This is one steady drinkable brew. Wanna impress a lady? Suggest one of these.

Pours light golden with a light head and lacing. The lacing diminishes in a few minutes. Light nose of Belgian yeast and spice. Average carbonation. A superb spiced beer of the Belgian wit style. Very crisp with a burst of spice - coriander and orange. Excellent hop balance to compliment the spices. Crisp finish and light mouthfeel in accordance with the style. One of my personal favorites. Appearance is slightly cloudy, as it should be. If you like spiced beer, it gets no better than this.
