12oz bottle in a nonic.

Pours a bright golden sunshine color with a fat white head that leaves lots of lacing and never thins past a thick film. It's bright, clear, and a touch cloudy all at once. Gentle small bubble carb.

A very pleasant nose of yeast, light hops like lemon and grass. A mild touch of funk.

Toasted malt, active yeast, spice, and lemon. There's a slight mineral or medicinal quality that comes from tart apple flavor.

Medium body, smooth and easy drinking. Gentle with no yeast harshness. Clean flavorful finish.

Less is more: less funk, less alcohol, less fruits; all add to more drinkability and enjoyment.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Beautiful lacing, stunning clarity show a pale golden yellow hue. Aroma is of mild stone fruit and chalky yeast. Dry palate with a nutty yeast tone throughout, clean graininess meets peppery medicinal phenols. Crisp and extremely drinkable. Hands down, one of the best beers Allagash produces.

This is the Belgian session beer I didn't know I was waiting for. The nose has nutty, toasty malts with a balanced his of herbal, peppery spice that could be hops, yeast, or both. The body is thin and the finish is dry, but with a satisfying bitterness. What a great table beer. There's a bitter grapefruit edge, but this sticks with the dry, pale malts and spicy farmhouse character. I'd buy this by the sixtel.

12 oz. bottle. A little hazy and kinda dull golden. Smells of doughy malts, yeast, light spices, and some licorice. Taste starts with the spice and licorice flavor. Bready malts. Lingering spice flavor, like caraway or something. Light body. Low carbonation. Subtle beer, but very nice.
