Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a large fluffy white head.

The aroma brings a ton of yeast and cracked pepper, as well as a faint hint of orange rind.

Taste follows the nose, with a bit more citrus kick than expected. Lots of peppery spice and sweet dough. Finishes lightly bitter and piney.

The feel is medium light bodied with moderate carbonation. Very crisp and refreshing, yet creamy and smooth.Good amount of dryness on the finish.

Overall, a very good Belgian pale. Not a ton going on but it's refreshing, flavorful, and very well balanced.

Thanks to Will for setting this aside for me (revised - picked a case up at the brewery because it was so good)
L- cloudy yellow orange
S - yeasty and malty - definitely Belgian
T - same as smell with a citrus hint and peppery biscuit undertones
F - great mouthfeel - superb carbonation
O - Please try this if you run across it - it's a superb Belgian style ale that goes down easy
Hands down, this is the best American Belgian style ale that I've found to date and is one of my favorites.

12 oz. bottle. A little hazy and kinda dull golden. Smells of doughy malts, yeast, light spices, and some licorice. Taste starts with the spice and licorice flavor. Bready malts. Lingering spice flavor, like caraway or something. Light body. Low carbonation. Subtle beer, but very nice.
