Midnight Brett is chocolate brown in color, brewed with 2-Row, Midnight wheat, raw wheat and rye malt. It was hopped with a blend of Perle, Glacier and Simcoe hops. The beer was fermented with our house strain of Brettanomyces in stainless tanks. The finished beer has the aroma and flavor of fresh berries, sour cherries and a slight roasted character. The finish is pleasantly tart and fruity making this beer very drinkable.

Thanks to angrybabboon for sharing the bottle.
Appearance: Dark dark brown almost black. Head is a loose creamy khaki. Nice streaks of lacing. A bit bubbly on the pour.
Smell: Soft layers of Brett funk. A bit earthy with some damp musty elements. A touch tart with a mild almost lactic element. Sweet roasted malts. Hints of dark chocolate, coffee bean, and cocoa. Caramel malt sweetness. A touch medicinal with a phenolic element. Some bready sweetness.
Taste: Mildly roasted malt. A touch of chocolate malt coupled with cocoa and some coffee bean thrown in. Brett adds some soft funk with a mild tart edge. Some earthy and damp yeast. Super clean for Allagash thanks to the stainless steel. The missing oak is noticeable. A touch of lemon thrown in the back.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light body with a moderate carbonation. A touch crisp with a clean, super clean for Allagash, finish.
Overall: Deep dusk.
Roasted and mildly bretty. Soft and mild for Allagash. The oak would have helped.

Hit all the right notes. A brett masterpiece. I picked it up somewhat late in the game, glad I did. Dark malt character is exceptional. Shared with social distance.

Big fluffy foamy head, tons of lacing, clear dark brown almost black slight ruby hue
Nose big Brett funk, little sourness and acidity, little chocolate cocoa, creamy smelling, faint roasty
Taste more Brett funk, barnyard funk notes but more sour slight tangy, touch cherry fruity note, little sticky sweet, slight acidity and tangy, slight creamy roasty cocoa notes too, flemmy
Mouth is med bod fair creamy decent carb
Overall nice balance and interesting beer, no wild and dark beer clashes, pretty nice
