Golden Brett is a dark golden colored beer, brewed with Victory, 2-Row and Red Wheat malt. It was lightly hopped with a blend of Northern Brewer and Simcoe hops. The mild tartness of the beer gives way to a long, clean finish.

Moderate pour yields a more than one inch white head over a golden body with some sticky lacing. Some real nice subdued funk and oak on the nose. Flavors of tartness and funk, with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Great mouthfeel and overall I could drink this for the rest of my life. Cheers to Allagash!

Golden color with a light haze. Lasting head, although it is small. NIce blanketing lace on the glass.

There's a sweet and treat smell.

The flavor mimics the smell but with far more complexity. The sourness dominates the flavor but there's a sweetness which cuts the tartness. The body is rich but this is counteracted by the higher carbonation. The finish is sour but not in a lip puckering way.

12 oz. bottle, bottled 2 months ago. Poured at 48 degrees into a snifter.

Hazy golden-orange with a thin ring of white head.

Tangerine, apricot, green apple, and lemon. Wood, white pepper, and pie crust. Dry, oaky, and lightly bitter on the finish. Low to medium tartness. Pithy and citric.

Mouthfeel moves from prickly, to soft, to dry. The dryness brings out a hint of lasting oak, and some herbal, earthy flavors.

Overall, complex and tasty. 8.5+/10

I had this in a tulip. The appearance was basically the same in both. Hazy golden bronzed yellow to burnt color with some stringy lacing running here and there after a slim white foamy head dissipated. The smell started off with a nice sour to sweet level of citrus rind opening up into more lemon. Light pine shows up lightly through a nice woody edge to it. The taste replicates the aroma nicely showcasing the citrus rind blending with a light bitter piney edge. There’s a light sweet to sour citrus aftertaste strolling into a sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a fairly nice sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the citrus to leave a subtle dry yet sweet cherished feel along my tongue. Overall, wow, where did this come from? I know Allagash has been known to knock ’em out of the park, but this one, holy crap, exceptionally well done!
