Notes: This Double IPA is loaded with waves of some of the juiciest hops available. Citra, Mosaic, Columbus blend together to make this hop juice. Intentionally left hazy with yeast in suspension to create a soft mouthfeel and enhance the flavor of this wonderfully hoppy beer.

I got a can of this beer from a beer store in La Crosse,WI whilst there to bring my daughter home early from college......thanks alot to covid 19. Anyway....the beer poured a hazy orangish with thin white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a good beer.

Hazed and clouded, pale amber/golden hued, big, beautiful white head atop.

In the nose: ah! Wow! Pungent and powerful, popping with tropical and citrus fruit notes, flooded with pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, mango.

In the mouth: Pow! Pow! Powerfully bitter and juicy, bouncing about the palate. Bitterness blazes a trail all over the tongue and spills about the back. Lush and lovely, for this double IPA-lover. Dee-lightful. Man, this is good. I could drink a few more of these. New favorite? Just about maybe.

L: Big lupulin oil bubble over the mouth of the can. Poured hazy straw yellow. Medium frothy. Small floaters throughout the brew and sinkers on the bottom.

S: Like a NE Hazy IPA. Hoppy, a touch sweet. A real ale.

T: Mango. Leafy hops. Well balanced between bitter and sweet. Plenty of nuance. Gets stronger as it warms, Satisfying.

F: Delicious. An oily wet finish, but easy on the palate.

O: One or two of these bad boys before bed and you're golden. The flavor is better from the can than a pour.

Dirty yellow body; peach skin color; cloudy; thick and frothy white head. Dank and pungent aroma; old citrus and pine. Nice citric and bready flavor; grapefruit tang; toasty malt; sprightly hop bitterness; acidic. Medium body; powdery and velvet-like; dry and acidic; warm with a boozy heat.

Canned on 08/14/19 per the bottom of the can data, so over a month and a half old. Still, the taste is up front and powerful. One can only wonder what a fresh dose of this beer would be like. Regardless, with respectable other sensory qualities, the taste really makes this beer.

L: Very hazy pale gold. Moderately rocky head with some decent lacing.

S: Citrus and tropical fruit. Mango, slight pineapple, and some orange peel. Nice pine hoppiness.

T: Nice malt mixed with tropical fruit up front. Some lemon/lime tartness and pine notes in the middle and a bit of spiciness with the bittering hops at the finish. Love it.

F: Very smooth, but not quite creamy. On the fuller side of medium-bodied with light carbonation. Juicy with a nice coated finish.

O: This is a lovely beer. You don't feel the 9% until too late.

Poured from a can into a tulip.

Pours an outstanding hazy, just short of cloudy apricot gold that begs the question of whether, on appearance alone, one might be tempted to call this an NEIPA. Limited head but spectacular lacing and foam. This is a pretty beer.

The aromas explain why this isn't an NEIPA. Tropical aromas like mango and guava are quickly melded with leafy, resiny, earthy hoppiness.

The flavors are---quite the mashup. Sweet tropical flavors on the tip of the tongue, with pineapple, mango, guava, and passion fruit. The mid palate is graced by a wash of varied flavors. Orange, lemon, white grape, honeydew, earthy and grassy hops, as well as hints of yeast. The finish is leafy, weedy, and a touch boozy, but the ABV is very well-hidden.

The brew is medium bodied, although nearly medium full, yet not sticky or heavy. Supple, but well-carbonated with a nice finish.

Overall, an interesting DIPA that delivers a sweet yet leafy and boozy treat.

On-tap at Würst Bier Hall, Fargo, ND

A: The beer is cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head covering the surface and left a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrusy and tropical fruit hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has strong flavors of citrusy and tropical fruit hops - lychees and passionfruit seem to stand out in particular.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer kind of like tasted like an imperial version of a New England-style IPA.

Serving type: on-tap

Had on tap. Murky different shades of orange, eye catching, with a finger of white foam. Smell has plenty of citrus, mango, and most of all, melon, with then a resinous wave of pine hops. Taste is fuller juicy, and creamy, with all that hazy fruit mixing with the pine nicely. Gets stronger through the sip, if it would have started close to where it ends it really would be vermont-esque in the taste. Feel is a little thin in the front, but the hops and haze recover quickly, very smooth throughout. Really good dipa, but can't help feeling with a tweak or two it could be legendary

Poured from 12 oz can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a beautiful darkly hazy orange with slight yellow around the edges. 1/2 inch bubbly white head quickly recedes to a thin skim.
S: Nice juicy citrus notes of orange, lemon, grapefruit, and hints of mango, soft pine, and lime.
T: Grapefruit, pine resin, caramel malt, orange, and overripe lemon. Tart lime.
M: Light-medium body. Moderate hop bitterness. Soft juicy citrus. The bitterness overshadows the sweeter fruit notes a tad.
D: Loads of hops. Lovely citrus complexity. Solid brew and I love DIPAs, but I'd give a nod to Hooey over this one.

1/8/19 canning of this DIPA featuring Citra, Mosaic and Columbus hops... Pours a murky golden-orange, hazy but translucent under a coupla fingers of off-white foam... Presents lots of tropical fruits and chewy citrus, all with a dank shellac of resin... Medium-full body-feel is mildly sweet and moderately bitter, with a little bit of heft to it... A little too thick with the fruits and a little too shellacky for me...

12 oz can from Tavour. Milky manila pour, small soft head. Fruity, tropical aroma. Taste is bigger and brighter, much bigger hop presence. Sharp citrus flavors, even a bit of warmth. Starts off ho-hum, but finishes with a bang.

Thanks, Sam!

Got this with another 10 from Sam. Really liked this first Lupulin beer I had, giving Hooey IPA a 4.40. Hoping this is close as good. Online description read, “This Double IPA is loaded with waves of some of the juiciest hops available. Citra, Mosaic, Columbus blend together to make this hop juice. Intentionally left hazy to create a soft mouthfeel and enhance the flavor of this wonderfully hoppy beer.”

Poured a hazy pale color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Slow moving bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled Citrus and Columbus, but not so much Mosaic initially. Also pepper, licorice, stone fruit, honeydew melon, spoiled fruit, earthy grass, garlic, dank pine, resin, bitter orange peel, mango, herbal and caramel malt. Still Citrus and Columbus heavy from the can, also trashy Mosaic and grain. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste followed the nose, probably a little better. Very earthy. Got Columbus, Citrus, pepper, licorice, honeydew melon, spoiled fruit, mango, herbal, garlic, dank pine, resin, earthy grass, bitter orange peel, orange pulp, subdued trashy Mosaic and grain. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)

A very good New England Style beer. I’d have it again for sure. (Overall - 3.75)

Can is just over two weeks old.
Pours from the can a turbid orange with a single-finger of pure white head that fades quickly and leaves spotty lace.
Amazing aroma. Citrus, floral, candied fruit, a touch of pine.
Lots of juice in the taste. Orange and grapefruit with a nice pithy bitter snap. A little sweet tropical fruit. As it warms, just a hint of booze.
Soft and dry on the palate. I want another sip. Dangerously drinkable.
Excellent.

I feel a little bad rating this beer low because it was an old can. (about 5-6 weeks) I could tell there was a lot of hop flavor there but unfortunately most of it had started to fade.

Very dark orange in color. Almost a burnt orange with a off white/very light orange head. Hazy.
Smell is a little muted but offers some nice orange notes.
Taste is slightly orange with a malt backbone.
Feeling is stickier than most hazy IPAs, which I like.
Overall, the thing I like most about this is the stickiness. I would drink again.

i do not know which number of this beer we had, but assuming 4, if this is in fact the freshest and most current iteration. i did not know this was a series or an evolving recipe. its incredible stuff in this form, probably my favorite of the hoppy beers from minnesota we had on our trip, and very much a hazy new school type. its got some haze but looks brighter and less messy than a lot of these. it also has a really nice, long lasting airy white head that allows the juicy dry hopped aroma to bubble up through like magic. fresh pineapple and melon and blue bag skittles candies, its almost hard to believe this is all from hops and that there isnt actually fruit in it. cantaloupe and honey, lemongrass and limes, this is gorgeous and insanely fresh and bursting with a higher degree of hop intensity than almost any of these i have had, yet it also still feels soft, minimally bitter, and absurdly drinkable for how high alcohol it is, there isnt a trace of it here, and there is very little residual sugar to give it away either. id love to know which hops are in the mix here, its not unfamiliar, but the refined potency is special. i thought this was awesome, my favorite beer from these guys yet!

Appearance: An impressive bubble show builds a two finger head atop the cloudy amber liquid; excellent stickage and clumpy lacing

Smell: Honeydew melon, guava paste with a dank, piney aspect

Taste: Ample bitterness up front, though combined with a sweet, honeydew and guava aspect; the piney bitterness builds, through the middle, but the residual sweetness outweighs, through the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Too much sweetness from the higher gravity in this beer - I much preferred Hooey

Thanks, TBach, for the opportunity

12 FL OZ can
Served in a tulip glass

This beer pours amber with burnt orange highlights and is hazy. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves lacing rings as consumed.

The smell is citrus with a little pine and grapefruit.

It starts out with a citrus bite. It is a little sweet through the middle with pine and grapefruit in the finish.

Medium mouthfeel

This is a nice surprise. I had never heard of this beer and received it in a trade. It is a well made DIPA.
