Layers of decadent chocolate and peanut butter built into a rich oatmeal porter make this beer impossible to have just one. We're not sorry.

Solid peanut butter porter. Nice peanut butter here in the aroma but definitely blends well with the other characteristics. Namely the roasted malts which seem to be the most prominent on the sip. The chocolate takes a bit of a backseat here to the malts in the taste and the peanut butter in the aroma but fits in very well to satisfy that aim of being a chocolate peanut butter (cup) porter.

Pours deep dark chocolate brown with a thick tan head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate and peanuts. Flavor follows the nose, just a touch sweet. Feel is medium bodied, lightly carbonated. Overall, a very nice porter.

Smelling faintly like a peanut butter cup once poured into the glass (couldn't detect anything when I popped the top even with the beer and foam rising before the pour). As the three fingers of mocha latte foam subsided, vanilla became a little more prominent along with a little rum. An opaque mahogany brown, the porter was very round on the sip and gained only a small amount of bubble-caused astringency on the swallow. Between those two endpoints, flavors of vanilla-flavored coffee and toasted malt dominated while hints of chocolate and peanut butter were there in the flavor if one thought about it. Very easy to drink, and glad it was an oversized can.

Pint can, chilled, poured into an Iron Maiden Fear Of The Dark pint glass.
Handsome sud, dark, good head, a little retention, no lace.
Aroma of ballpark peanuts, mild milk chocolate, dark malt.
Tastes big - the obvious thought, given the ‘Not Sorry’ tag, would be of a peanut butter cup, but no. It’s more like powdered dry roasted peanuts in a swirl of liquid malted milk with a touch of Nestle’s Quik. No detectable alcohol. A bit thin. The finish reveals the adjuncts, not the base beer, which gets overwhelmed.
Feel is medium carbonation. Quite smooth.
Overall, this is a taster’s porter, well executed.

Appearance: Pours a dark, nearly black color, with a light-tan head. SRM of 21.

Aroma: Strong aromas of strudel upfront. There's wafer, strudel, with a light peanut butter note off the end. There's some nutty bar aromas and only mild chocolate. Strudel and wafer aromas that form a Nutty Bar aroma.

Flavor: Strong flavors of strudel come forth with peanut butter and nutty bar upfront. Then it evolves into a chocolate flavor, even some coffee roast. Ultimately finishes with a sweet Nutty Bar and peanut butter wafer finish.

Feel: Medium to light bodied. Moderate carbonation. A slightly dry finish.

Overall: A nice drinking peanut butter porter and probably the first one I've had. It has good peanut butter wafer, strudel, and Nutty Bar flavors. More chocolate on the tongue than the nose. A clean and dry finish which is pleasant.
Very enjoyable and could see myself drinking another or more of these. A nice and dry flavored porter for coming out of the winter. (Final Rating: 4.15)

One of the better chocolate peanut butter porters I’ve had, with a great big nose of peanuts, malty chocolate comes in on the taste. Feel is pretty clean, which is a definite plus. Very well done.
