The sours that the have there are hit or miss. Its small on the inside but seems to hold enough when busy. Service is quick and the pizza is delicious! Major plus is it’s next to Third Man Records

Visited during the Omicron era. Service was top notch, food was quality, and with the full array of North Peak taps as well as the JP ones, there's beer for everyone. Third Man Records is literally next door, and Motor City Brewing is directly across the street, great way to spend an afternoon.

Came here with a friend on a recent trip to Detroit.
Sat at the bar and tried the following as part of a flight:
Jolly Pumpkin El Meloso
Jolly Pumpkin Cascade Bam
Jolly Pumpkin IO Saison
Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere Chinook
Jolly Pumpkin Ale Absurd
Beers ranged from decent to very good. Service was exceptional as bartender Bin chatted to us for the duration of our visit. Bustling atmosphere with a diverse crowd and great music. The overall experience was enjoyable, and I would certainly come back.

A spot I've had on my list for a long time. It didn't let me down. If you are a fan of their beer, they've got plenty on offer. The pizza is also an added bonus. It's also next door to Third Man Records, so it's pretty much the best possible spot to spend an afternoon in Detroit.

Must visit spot if you are in Detroit. Easy to find and we had no problem parking right in front.
This location hits the mark on mutliple levels....nice room, with large windows, high cielling, communal tables, comfortable larger bar, with nice wood all over. TVs on, no sound with the game on
Quality pizza (but not great IMHO) sandwedges, salads available cafeteria style as you enter, but the real star here is the beer...sour/tart/funky/earthy/complex/differant/interesting multiple options at the bar on draft and bottles. Gotta love the tasty brews from this OG brewery.
Loved our visit....GO
Friendly and very knowledgable people behind the counter are always a plus

Been here a few times now. Couple times for drinks and others for food and drinks.
When visiting with a group, I highly recommend sharing pizzas. Each pizza I've had so far has been good, but some considerably better than others. One time we shared four different pizzas and that was a treat.
They serve North Peak beer, which I tried a couple of and didn't really care for. I stuck with JP beer which is decent as expected, but the styles available are a-typical of your standard brewery given the fact they focus on sours. I haven't been able to visit during a time they had any rare or specialty beers on tap. So most of the beers I've had were available in bottles.
I also don't recall them having a flight option, which I usually opt for if possible.
This place is come for the pizza, stay for the beer.

This is a very hip and well designed space with self-seating communal tables and a long, copper bar. The tap station is really cool looking, like the bottom half of a quarter-foeder, with 20 or more taps from their own sour program, as well as their non-sour North Peak brews, plus a few guest drafts. Everything is of a nice quality.
Food here is solid too, offering sizeable portions and high quality ingredients via delicious recipes. I would be here every week if I was local.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Relatively busy in there, but not packed. Not a very large space, 15 person bar, community picnic style tables, some booths at the edges. Lots of handles for both JP and North Peak beers, but it seemed like a lot of them were out during my visit. Pints are $5-7, not too outrageous. Food orders are via a line, then they bring it out to you wherever you sit. The pizza is excellent. Parking can be a bit of an issue, as they don't have a dedicated lot, so you need to find street parking, which can be hit or miss.

I figured I should chime in about the Detroit Jolly Pumpkin location as I've been there many times and it's always stellar. Service has been the best I've had at a brewpub; the bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable and really hospitable. That's really refreshing considering some service you get at bars in Detroit. They always make me feel like a regular. I've never had the same food twice and it's always good to great. Growler prices are fair considering their beer isn't cheap. Usually they have a good new bottle or two available that's not distro. Great beer of course, I'm really glad there's a top notch sour beer maker nearby. Great vibe and almost a must stop when I'm in the area.

Big open place that guy busy on a Friday lunch in a huge hurry. Lots of draft options. LOTS. Several food options including pizzas. Had the mushroom pizza and it was very good; friend had the margherita pizza and it was okay.
Sat at bar. Initial service was great as it wasn't quite busy yet, but because they serve all the walk ups from the tables it slowed down service considerably when busy. When eating at the bar you don't need to stand in the cafeteria line to order food.
I'd go back if ever in the area again.

Hip, wide open beer hall vibe. Cafeteria-style ordering for both food and drinks. A nice long bar, and a great selection of Northern United products -Jolly Pumpkin, North Peak, Civilized Spirits, and some wine. Great artisan pizzas that pair well with the beer selection. Bottles available to go.

I loved this place. Big restaurant area with lots of bench seating. Food is primarily pizza (no problem for me), and their artisanal options were quite good. Lots and lots of taps as they have offerings also from Grizzly Peak (Ann Arbor) and North Peak (Traverse City). They also have bottled options to-go along with your JP merch, natch. Something for everyone at this place that I believed only recently opened.
