Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed orange yellow color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a light sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a pumpkin spice smell with lots of cinnamon, coriander, and clove. Along with these smells comes a nice showing of coffee as well as a bit of a cracker malt smell. With a touch of herb and grass, the aroma is overall very fall-like in aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisp cracker taste with lots of the spice that was detected in the nose hitting the palate right from the start. The cinnamon and clove are strongest, and remain relatively strong throughout. At the same time there is some sweetness of caramel and a light apricot taste that fade a bit as the taste moves forward. Initially there is a bit of grapefruit hop, that as the taste moves forward, is overtaken by hop flavors of a herbal and earthy nature. A touch of light coffee comes at the very end, leaving one with a rather spicy and somewhat lightly dank hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the odd (but enjoyable) mix of hop, big pumpkin spice, and crisp malt the feel is actually very accommodating and suits the mix rather well.
Overall – Certainly an interesting brew. It makes me want fall to arrive so that the pumpkin beers come out. One to try if you have the opportunity.

Pours a hazed gold with a pinky of cream colored head. Above average head retention & lacing
S: Faint pumpkin pie spices, cereal grain notes. Pie spice picks up when beer is close to room temperature
T: Plenty of pumpkin pie spice, a little vanilla, grassy & limey bitterness up front. Bitterness picks up as this warms, some grapefruit & limes, spices & vanilla take a back seat but mixing in nicely. Finishes with a grassy bitterness, dryness, some spice & coffee mixing in, plus a little vanilla sweetness
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, great balance
Not sure what to think of this, not much of an IPA, but works as a Pumpkin beer, a style that I mostly hate/tolerate. Drinks easy enough. The brewery is calling it an IPA, so style point deductions, but damn drinkable. I would rate this higher as a Pumpkin beer. An odd, but drinkable duck
