On tap

Hops: Citra, Galaxy

Ocelot has really got their shit together. This is delicious. Super juicy, clean, soft and slight bitterness. Almost perfect.

Big thanks to Craig for this can. Cheers man!

Mi Corazon. My love. She pours an enticing yellow orange. Familiar yet new. Flirting with a foamy off white foam above that leaves sheets of lacing from head to toe.

A flaunt of peach and mango dances around a sweet vanilla, sugary body. A hint of honeydew joins the party.

Melon and cantaloup with an Orange Bang! background. A wonderful fruit blend in the middle, almost indiscribable. But I'll try. Everything from strawberry, blueberry, papaya, and orange. This thing is a fruit smoothie overload. An estery yeast finish with just enough bitterness to bring to balance.

Smooth and creamy, but light enough to once again remind me of the quintessential Hispanic staple. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, easy drinkability. The fruity finish is almost cocktail like with the flash of alcoholic warmth.

This is a fun drink. It truly reminds me of Orange Bang! minus the ice. Delicious, refreshing, and unique. A stand out in the world of sub par NEIPAs. Cheers!

Poured a cloudy orange body with one-finger head and lace ring down glass. The aroma is one of acidic orange juice with possible grapefruit notes. Smooth, clean body with the hop bite and acidity tampered down as this grapefruit/tangerine sweetness hits me (not much in the malt department at all) and then finishes clean and crisp.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Can Can, poured into a pint glass. Had a yellowish color and a thick, cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus, tropical fruit, malt, and pine.

T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (barely noticeable), lots of citrus fruit (grapefruit), a fair shot of hops (not overdone, though), a tinge of pine, and a nice amount of tropical fruit (mango). A very solid flavor that's sweet and fruity, but not one-note. For a NE IPA, it's not as fruity as you'd think, but it's still luscious and tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a creamy, smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A wholly enjoyable NE IPA. Sweet, light, and drinkable.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned April 25th 2018.

Semi-turbid appearance, a pale lemon yellow, with a hint of clear to white rising fine carbonation. Some clarity along the edges of the glass, reaching to a creamy topped bright white three finger tall head. Pill to shampoo like lacing adds to the experience as it settles down at a good clip.

For the hop angle, comes off more spicy and slightly dank than citrus surprisngly for a Citra and Galaxy angle. Spice tones of tropical after a little bit of settling down, as the earthy sensing flavors calm down. Neutral playing backbone but seems to sense solid and not watery.

Very expressive palate. Creamy textured mouthfeel, coating with a pilllow almost marshmallow like quality. Sweet sensing mid palate backed with excellent flavors. Hop forward citrus and pepper, a real candy like finish more so on the aftertaste. Finishes supremely juicy fruit gum tasting, with mild bitterness and touches of herbal spice. No large sugary, boozy, syrupy, or juice box flavors at all.

Great tasting IPA.

Fresh out of a growler.
Looked bright gold/orange with nice white head. Nice lacing.
Smelled of grass and herbs.
Taste followed smell with some citrus on the back end.
Overall, a very tasty IPA leaning on the grassy side with an aroma to match.

On tap at brewery:
Ok, Ocelot gone NE?!?

A cloudy white-orange look. Getting used to it, but this seems somewhat between full-on cloudy and a more normal IPA. The head is quite nice, lacing is "spooky" - which is a good thing. Borderline 3.75.

Huge tropical juice notes in the nose. If the look was even possibly an anomaly, the nose says, yep, this is a NE IPA. Mango, pineapple, pineapple rind, light fresh pine. Just a classic NE IPA combo of juice and hops.

Taste isn't as juicy as the nose, which works for me. Orange juice blend hits up front, but isn't alone fit long. Tropical notes accent the bitterness more than the reverse. Fresh herb, fresh pine wood, then hints of sweet citrus and tropical juice.

Not quite as soft or full as some NE IPAs, but that nod to their roots excites me, at least. Still fairly full body, nice tickling carbonation, and a bitter-dry ending.

I enjoyed this more and more as I sipped and reviewed it. Enjoying that it's not pure juice in the taste while it might try to deceive you in the nose.

From a growler, pours a hazy orange. Puffy white head leaves lots of lacing. Smell and taste have tropical fruits, citrus, pine and some dank. Well-carbed, smooth feel. Top-notch hazy IPA.
