My first Russian beer \ lager and I must say, great stuff !

Perfectly carbonated when poured, the bubbles stick sound for a while, the color is a light gold, typical pilsner style look. Great head, which doesn't stick around to long (this might be due to me being inpatient!)
Great smell, there is something to it I honestly can't describe, but it is the best smelling lager I've ever come across!
Smooth and clean taste with a crisp aftertaste which sticks around for a while which I love, very enjoyable. Easy to drink

Anyone who hadn't yet it I can only recommend ;-)

A-golden with a huge off white head

S-smells like a typical European lager. European grains and honey. Doesn't smell terrible.

T-actually comes in with a very nice and crisp taste of light honey and fresh grains with a subtle hint of that classic european lager taste. The after-taste has more honey, more crisp grains, and more bitterness. This is actually quite okay!

M-crisp medium carbonation with a semi dry finish

O-I actually love this. It has a taste of high quality and it's so drinkable! This has got to be the best euro lager I've ever had. I wish I could find this by the case here. It is quite cheap though!

A- Light golden and very transparent with little head

S- Smells grainy and biscuity almost like a pilsner but with less hopping

T- Taste is like the smell but more complex than I would expect from a lager. Lots of bready flavors.

M&D- Medium-light and refreshing as hell

first let me say i have never seen a pulltab bottle that made a big pop sound like a corked bottle

poured a very pale gold with a 1 finger head that dissipated very quickly

smell was good light cereal and some grassy hops

luckily it tasted nothing like the smell
sweet grains and maybe a little friut

mouthfeel was good - light and crisp

drinkability is high and for 2bones a pint i will buy this again

from St. Petersburg Russia. 1 pint. 9FL oz, 5.49% Alc Vol.

A big foamy head that takes a while to dissipate. A nice golden lager. Impressive that it still retains a 1/32 inch head throughout drinking it. A very clean crisp taste with a nice dry finish.

Pours pale straw golden yellow with a large foamy, going to rocky, head that leaves lacing.

The smell is grainy with some lime and sulfur. A nice amount of subtle floral notes come through.

The taste is sweet grain (slightly caramelish) with a touch of lime. An underlying floral bitterness gives the sweet graininess a nice balance. Finishes refreshingly dry.

The feel is towards full for the style, but lands appropriately in light-to-medium bodied. Crisp.

Thirst-quenching, refreshing, easy-to-drink with a nice taste, I could easily "session" this. One of the better export lagers out there, IMO.

Picked up a 6pack of green 11.2oz bottles. The pop-top opener was a real crowd pleaser. Poured into pint glass. Appearance was light yellow, some bubbles and head that disappeared rather quickly. Light carbonation. Taste was better than expected. Not as skunky as other Easter European beers. Sweet and malty. I Could drink plenty of these.

this was an excellent beer that can surprise most beer drinkers. It was light but full of flavor, that almost resembled Spaten. A nice crisp taste allowed it to go down easily and quench my thirst. It trully should be highly recommended. As a master of beer, I would say it is at the moment one of my top 25.

Poured a pale golden golor with massive white puffy long-lasting head. Attractive lacing.
Smell is slightly sweet but really barely detectable.
Taste is light, crisp and very refreshing. Left a nice full mouthfeel with moderate taste retention.
Nice crisp finish with great drinkabilty.
Better tasting than a domestic lager and much more enjoyable.

Poured from bottle into ale glass.
The cap has a pull top on it and pops like champagne when pulled open.
This beer has a beautiful 1 inch head and the color is a golden blonde. The smell is of barley and corn with a touch of grain.Taste is pretty much all barley but in a great way.Feels smooth and clean all the way down.I really enjoyed this beer and love the Dortmunder style even though the beer was simple.

After a day of touring St. Petersburg and walking up and down Nevsky Prospect, we found a nice corner restaurant near Pushkin's statue and sat down to get some local beers to imbibe while we relaxed. Baltika 7 was on the menu, so here we go...

Poured into a 1/2 L weizen-looking glass, there was a billowy 3-4 fingers of egg shell white head that perched up there for what must have been 5 to 10 minutes. The body of the beer was crystal clear enough to read the menu through it. Color was a very light yellowy amber, and the head produced sticky spiderwebbed lacing as I drank.

The aroma is like a watered down Dortmunder Gold. Certainly more mellowed, the grassy hops provide more of a balancing aroma than they do a stunning focal point of the beer. The malt is light and clean, and there are no off aromas, but I am not excited by the aroma. The flavor is certainly better, as the grassy hops do come on a bit stronger and are augmented by a light floral kick that really balances the sweetness of the beer well.

Easy drinking, light on the palate, and nicely carbonated for the style, this is without a doubt one of the best beers that I was able to enjoy on my trip. It likely doesn't travel well, judging by the reviews on here, but in the motherland, this is definitely one to try. I would seek this out if I was in Russia again.

A ~ Pours pale yellow. Pretty decent lacing. Doesn't look magnificent, but we shall see.

S ~ Golden Delicious Apples, Yeastbread, Dry straw & a faint whiff of hops.

T ~ Euro hops (saaz?) that are spicy & slightly floral. Very scattered flavors going on here so bear with me. Getting major notes of Straw & Wheatberry bread with hints of Pears in honey, open field, & cedar plank.
Faint notes of a Pet Store, which was odd, but worked well against the estery backdrop.

M ~ Fruity & Yeasty yet crisp & clean in the finish. Mild bitterness.

D ~ I honestly liked this beer, regardless of the average reviews. Who cares if it is mass produced if it tastes decent. Will easily buy again. Great price.

Appearance pours a golden yellow color with a white fluffy head leaving fair lace. Smell is yeasty, adjuncts and a note of fruit warehouse. Taste has a clean lightly sweet graininess with a bit of light fruit in the background. Mouthfeel is light with a nice spike of carbonation. A very enjoyable lager I wouldn't mind going back to.

Green bottle with a cool pull-tab cap. Crystal clear and possibly the palest yellow beer I've ever seen. A soapy, frothy, bright white cap appeared during the pour and remained for a surprising amount of time. Streaky and spotty lace. Aromas of cereal grain, barley husk, hay, and lemon. Low bitterness. Sweet yet mild flavour, a bit of cereal and lemon/lime, slightly fruity, faint mineral finish. Very light bodied without getting to the point of being watery. Medium to low carbonation aided the texture, keeping it from being harsh. Actually, it was fairly smooth. Quite clean and refreshing. This one was a surprise for me, based on my experience with this line of products. Easily one of my favourites from this brewer and a superb lawnmower beer.

Baltika 7 Export Lager has a thick, white head, a clear, golden appearance, strong bubble streams, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of pungent, fairly intense, biscuity malt and grassy hop oils. Taste is a bit bold- sweet, biscuit and grassy hops, with a background spice (think white pepper). Mouthfeel is medium, and Baltika 7 Export Lager finishes crisp and interesting.

The beer pours a pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a clean, crisp lager malt scent along with German style hops and yeast. The taste is decent. It has a pale malt flavor that goes down easy and finishes dry, yet surprisingly malty for a lager. It is lightly hopped and clean tasting. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a good export lager. It's light and easy drinking with a maltier approach than some.

Poured from a 16.9 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Has a malt and citrus smell with a hint of that Euro Lager skunkiness thrown in.
Appearance- A transparent yellow with a small white head.
Taste- Has a nice malt and fruit mix not what I was expecting, a pleasant surprise.
Palate- A light bodied beer with heavy carbonation,.
Overall- Better than average, had a fruitier taste than I expected. I would drink this again.

Review: Bottle of Baltika 7 Eksportnoe (Export) 5.4%ABV
Baltika 7 Eksportnoe, a handful to pronounce, is an interesting pale lager with its own unique taste coming all way from St. Petersburg, Moscow.
On pour there is a nice pale yellow appearance with a good frothy head which dies eventually to show some lacing.
The aroma is of sweet malt and grain producing a lovely rustic kind of smell that is both strong and appealing on the nose.
The taste is of some sweet malts, was slightly hoppy, with some light barley malt.
Overall I found that Baltika 7 Eksportnoe was quite easy to drink and it did the business after a long day of work. Having said that though, there was a small aftertaste that was quite strong but that brought a nice balance to the beer and I recommend this as a good session beer.

Probably the better of the Baltika numbered beers. This one is crisp, refreshing, and much closer to a Euro Pale Lager or even a pilsner than a Dortmunder.

This beer really reminds me of Heniken.

It has a very golden pale color with a silky thick foam head.

The smell is grainy and malty. Slightly sweet.

It tastes very much like a Heniken. I don't know if this is how it is supposed to taste, but it was skunky. I actually enjoy skunky beers so I enjoyed it.

The mouthfeel was semi smooth. Wasn't the best feel.

Combination of taste and price makes this a quite affordable beer to sip.

500 ml bottle into lager glass, best before 5/21/2015. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Outstanding appearance. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish, and very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/grainy/sticky, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a nice Dortmunder style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

received this bottle from a friend coming back from New York. Poured into a pilsner glass.

Aroma: Upon first cracking I instantly smelled skunk. Probably my fault as it was a sunny day when it was given to me and I foolishly stored it under the dashboard as I did not have a dark bag to put it in. Otherwise, low hop aroma with floral notes.

Appearance: Light golden in color with a white head.

Flavor: well balanced between hop and malt as per the guidelines. Definitely a touch of sweetness, probably more than what I would like to have in a dortmunder. Definitely crisp with very mild honey notes.

Mouthfeel: light body, medium carbonation.

Overall: aside from the skunking which was my fault it was a light, crisp and refreshing beer and definitely a good sessionable beer at that. It fits all the guidelines but if it wasn't for my mistake, it probably would've been a little higher...but it probably shouldn't be in a green bottle. All it takes is 30 seconds of sunlight.

The foam was light wheat/white in color that dissapated quickly but a small ring around the glass til the end. The smell was a typical crisp hops and a little metallic. The taste was sharp, light, very hopsy - Russia's version of the American lagers and pils but better. Color was light honey wheat. Mouthfeel was sharp and smooth. Drinkibility was ok.

16.9 oz. bottle poured into flute
(bottled 4/15/14 in green glass; drank 2/5/15)

L: 100% clear yellow, 1-inch ultra-white head of foam; no stick or lace, very few bubbles; looks flat; slight lacing

S: SKUNK ... just a bit up front then it disappears; very fruity and malty sweet -- bread malt; dust, onion, cilantro, sour grain

T: super fruity -- peach, apricot, almost hint of plum; bread malt ... not bad

F: light but full with carbonation ... but the more I drink it, the more I feel a bit weak

O: not that bad ... the sunlight/UV/whatever light has skunked it just a bit, but it's still super fruity for an overall smaller flavor/aroma profile
