On-draught in Lviv, Ukraine in Spring 2016.

Very generic pale lager, but drinkable.

High D+ (2.50) / NOT RECOMMENDED

I'm from Belarus, that's a country near Russia and that's the only one russian beer you can actually drink. Nothing special about it, nothing really bad about it. It's better than commonly used american beer like Bud. So, if you want to try it go ahead and buy it. You probably won't like it but it's ok.

I purchased a bottle of Zatecky Gus for $1.50 USD in Los Angeles, CA/USA.

Look: Zatecky Gus had a light ribbon of foam.
Smell: Zatecky Gus had a faint aroma of grains.
Taste: Zatecky Gus had a very mild flavour. Hints of grain could be tasted.
Feel: Zatecky Gus had medium carbonation.
Overall: Zatecky Gus is a beer for people who enjoy a beer with mild flavour and medium carbonation.

Pours clear golden beer with nice white head, good retention, some nice laces. Smell is grainy with herbal hops, doughy. Taste follows the smell, rather mediocre. Light body, soft carbonation.

500 ml. bottle, bought in a shop of russian and german food and beverages near home. Pours a crystal pale golden colour, with a decent head that is not there when you look again at it. Smell of grains, grains and hints of peach. Too watery palate, thin body, taste is the same as smell: grains, herbs and some peach, with maybe some citrus too. Average to bad.
