Piney, citrusy and earthy tones erupt from a beer crafted with eight hop varieties worldwide. The amount of hops used presents a floral aroma and potent hop bitterness that's balanced with a residual malt finish.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is gold, transparent, frothy off white head with small bubbles, head presents 1+ fingers thick and leaves some lacing and a solid top.
Smell is resinous, floral, some grapefruit rind, touch of malt in the form of toast and light biscuit.
Taste follows with similar resinous, floral, and grapefruit notes, malt is on the sweeter side but then is brought down with the hop bitterness, slight alcohol drying. In a wave of haze this stands out as an excellent bitter/malty DIPA.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, drying bitterness that counters the sweetness.
Overall an excellent bitter/malty DIPA - resinous/floral/grapefruit hops with just enough malt sweetness.

Not bad. Not a typical double IPA, but it was what I was in the mood for on a 70 degree damp cloudy day. Malt come through first, with thick resiny hops on the back that shine through more as the beer warms. No alcohol burn but boozy taste comes through quite a bit, although hop bitterness does okay at masking it to a degree. Not ground-breaking nor is it typical of the style, but it's pretty tasty and that's what matters.

Pours a light copper color with almost a finger of head. The nose is more malty than hoppy. The malt is comparably assertive in the flavor profile as well. By contrast, the hop profile is weak even if this was a single IPA.
I would guess that this was a decent Pale Ale if I were asked to designate the style blind.

On tap at the brewery.
Golden color, mostly clear, with a small foamy head. Grainy aroma, oily hops. Mostly a malt bomb flavor-wise, but again, some oily/resinous hops in there. Drinkable, but not really what I'm looking for in the style.
