Look - Pours medium copper with a large white head. No lacing.

Smell. Mustard seeds, bubble gum, hay..Belgian whorehouse..Oh and don't forget the alcohol.

Taste - Sweet Belgian yeasts with a mustard touch and alcoholic head. bubblegum is there with a touch of the farmhouse deal and a hit of fruits I can't quite put my finger on. Beer is 10%, not 9.5.

Feel -Warm, alcoholic body with light carbonation.

Overall -As my palate developed over the years, as has my appreciation for this styles. Hell, might even say we do a Belgian beer better than the Belgians.

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Pours a beautiful, clear, golden color, speckled with peach and orange highlights and a finger of white-colored head that quickly dissolved away into a thin lacing of foam that only partially covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Very aromatic with lots of bready, toasted malt, imparting notes of freshly baked French baguettes and sourdough rolls. There is also a ton of Belgian yeast, imparting funky, musty, barnyard-like notes of stray, wet horse blanket, and saddle leather. I also get notes of spices such as black pepper, coriander, saffron, clover, honey suckle, as well as fruits such as peach and apple. Finally, I get some candied sugar and honey. Smells delicious and inviting.

Taste: Wow! What great flavors! Strong, delicious flavors of bready, toasted malt up front, followed by lots of candied sugar and honey-like sweetness; spices of black pepper, coriander, saffron, clover, honey suckle, as well as fruits such as peach and crisp, tart, apple. Finally, there’s quite a bit of floral, funky Belgian yeast, imparting notes of freshly cut grass, straw, clover, heather and lavender. Delicious!

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and very smooth, as there is no carbonation what-so-ever. With an ABV of 9.5%, there is just a hint of alcohol warmth on the palate. Actually, I’m surprised at how well masked the alcohol is.

Overall: This is an outstanding Belgian-triple! Funky, fruity, semi-tart and semi-sweet. Delicious! I’m definitely getting it again! Highly recommended!
