Brewed using four types of malted barley, this Dortmunder lager becomes a smooth, flavorful and complex beer that is a delight to drink.

12 oz bottle
Pours golden-yellow with a 1 inch head. Not very much lacing,( but I think that's consistent with a Dortmunder style? )
I can smell the malt but it's not overpowering
Taste's crisp and light
Perhaps a wee bit too much carbonation...
Overall, I think it is what it was supposed to be. They capture the Dortmunder style nicely...
Pairing this beer with some fresh Puget Sound Oysters made for an enjoyable experience. ( I read that this style of beer works well with shellfish and am happy to report this is true! )

Unpretentious, reliable German lager that tastes good and gets the job done.

On-tap at Old Dominion Taphouse inside Dulles International Airport, on to the beer:
An inch of head is served on top this dark golden lager. The foam is semi-creamy and the lacing it leaves is very good. Its aroma is dry, grassy, hay, with a kiss of earthiness. It's a toasty lager, infused with pleasing hay and grassy notes which helps make this beer not only tasty, but a pleasure to drink.

Pours a light golden amber. Smell is malty and sweet.
Taste is also a sweet malt with maybe a hint of citrus on the back end.
Slightly more complex than you average lager, but not necessarily better.

Pours a clear deep gold bordering on pale amber producing a finger of frothy, off-white, shortlived head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is bready with some honey notes & a hint of biscuit, grassy & floral hops. Taste is biscuity & soda cracker malt with toasty hints, lemon, grassy hops, a dominating bitterness & a malty, mineral aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied & a little stiff, moderate-high carbonation, prickly & dry with an astringent aftertaste. Crisp & refreshing.

It looks and smells like a refreshing light beer. It tastes about how you would expect, with a light, very slightly hoppy taste. It is not overly strong, but a smooth beer. It has a good after taste.
