"Brewed and bottled by Old Dominion Brewing Co., Ashburn, VA for Colonial Williamsburg". This and the Williamsburg Pale Ale are served at the Raleigh Tavern as well as some of the park's other taverns; and bottles are available at a few of their shoppes. It appears that this may be simply a special labelling as it's quite similar to their hefeweizen.

It offers the typical Bavarian-weisse appearance with a cloudy orange body and creamy head of bright white foam; but the head retention is a bit lacking and it shortly drops to a wide collar and whispy surface covering. Lacing is minimal. The nose is sweetly grainy and yeasty with some soft fruit that includes apple, ripe banana, and a delicate note of clove. It's a nicely balanced combination that expresses the yeasty esters of a weizen without being too bold for the novice to approach. The body is medium with a very fine and lightly effervescent carbonation that gently caresses the tongue. The flavor showcases the soft fruitiness of apple and ripe banana alongside a gentle and mildly spicy clove wrapped in rich sweet malt with just a very light tartness to balance it out. The bitterness is also well balanced; restrained enough to let the sweet malt and esters shine, yet firm enough to usher in a drying finish. Very nice.
