this place is incredible! part of the old pearl brewery campus, in an interesting but not quite ornate old building, looks unique, and has a big open feel with a long bar, lots of tables around, cozy though, and with the brewery upstairs in a loft area that overlooks the place, copper clad but humble given the surroundings. i liked it so much i have been here twice in the week i have been in texas, once for brunch and once for lunch, both times it was bustling and busy, but the service was solid. they do a mix of seafood and comfort food here, raw oysters, chicken and waffles, meatloaf, that kind of thing, and they have some really ambitious beers on their menu. i was bummed their tomato gose wasnt on when i was in, but i had a beet ipa and a carrot saison that were both rather different, and a solid coffee cream ale, among others. its such a charming space you kind of feel fancy in here the whole time. i really liked the energy, i liked the food, and i liked the beer. its a unique operation, and its been one of my favorite stops of san antonio so far. highly recommended.

A bustling brewpub and restaurant inside the Emma Hotel at the Pearl (San Antonio, TX). Vintage industrial decor continues from the hotel with a bar, multiple dining areas and outdoor patio. Good selection of creative brews, many made with fruits or vegetables (inspired by the weekly farmers market?). Staff and friendly and efficient, with a solid menu of southern fare and Gulf Coast seafood.

Nice vibe in the Pearl. I stopped in around 11:30 AM on a weekday for a quick snack and a couple pints. I had a pretzel that was absolutely delicious, but since I didn’t eat I am putting the food as N/A. The beers were OK. There was nothing crazy about them, and there was the ever present “hazy IPA.” I actually enjoyed the beer, but it was hazy, juicy, NEIPA in any way. NE IPA that resembled nothing of the sort. I also had s brown ale that I thought was very good Attentive service.

Really cool place - the whole old Pearl District is a great spot whether you're from out of town or live nearby. Plenty to do/eat/drink

I did not have anything to eat, which I regret because the food looked great. This is part of The Pearl district that was once Pearl Brewing. I loved the vibe of the entire Pearl complex - a lot of fun. The beer I had was great as was the service. A great place, I look forward to visiting again as soon as possible!

Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery is located in the Pearl Arts Center just a few steps south of The Granary.

It's beautifully done inside combining original "distressed" parts of the old Brewer's Association building with reclaimed wood, steel, brown leather-backed chairs, wood or marble topped tables, and a zinc-topped bar. The two "eras" don't exactly match, but that's part of the charm of it.

They offer 11 beers which include 4 or 5 regulars, but they're almost all quite interesting, and all quite good. The Texas Uncommon Ale is brewed with mint, a nod I assume to the restaurant's "Southern" style, and their "Fannie Porter" is spiced with curry, fenugreek, and coconut, which is clearly not a nod to their "southern" style! "Smoke On The Water" is probably their best know regular amongst the beer crowd, and it's a cherry wood smoked American Rye pale ale. They sell growlers, or they'll fill yours. A 32 oz. fill is $9.

The service is quite good, and tries to be exceptional (although I understand there can be hiccups), but the food is truly remarkable. If they're as popular now as they've been in the past you should probably try to get a reservation. Some dishes to note include: the Shrimp or Crawfish Boil ($21/$16), the Stewed Oxtail Pie ($18), Blackened Salt Water Catfish ($18), and Loncito's Peaceful Pork Cutlets ($18). For lunch beers are only $3, and the Catfish Po'Boy is hard to beat!
