Lord Hobo Brewing Co. "Glorious"
a) Into a Duvel tulip, my pour raises a two finger head of loose, bright white foam above a totally hazy pale yellow body with lots of particulate. A rocky white head fades to a skim with dots of lace.
s) The aroma: hoppy, bright, citrusy, tropical, piney, grapefruit, lemon, mint, and flower shop.
t) The flavor BLOOMS and fills with all the above plus a lavender and mint herb garden
f) While APA is my favorite style (Dales being the best), this brew lacks the heft, malt back, and stickiness I seek in APA. Big carbonation, but thinnish feel.
o) Nice, but not bringing me back, and inglorious.

Very cloudy pour from 16 oz can. Never clears. Just murky yellow. Taste is thin and bitter with slight fruity smell. I was not impressed. Not a favorite.

16 oz can poured into a pilsner glass.

Appearance
Hazy, murky blonde. Yeast sediment throughout. 1/2 finger of white head.

Nose
Mango, papaya, lemonade, and dank.

Taste
Mango juice, papaya, and lemonade. Deep green dankness. Slight biscuity malt presence. Finishes fairly clean with hints of orange rind and grapefruit zest.

Mouthfeel
Medium-light bodied, crisp, smooth, juicy, and slightly drying. Hardly any bitterness.

Overall
Galaxy done right. Super smooth, dank, and juicy. Kind of like mango lemonade.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/21/2017. Pours opaquely hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passionfruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderate crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a very nice American pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; even with the aggressively bitter/drying finish. Very dank hops with a nice solid pale malt backbone. Claims to be only Galaxy hops, but this feels like it has Columbus/Chinook as well. Not really an NE style as they claimed, but still a very enjoyable offering.

A - Pale gold body, hazy but translucent, big fat white head, with massive lacing coating the glass.

S - Strong dank nose, full of cat and weed, but as it airs, it turns more lemony and pine.

T - Following the second half of the nose, resin and lemons, pith and grapefruit, zest and earthy hops. Malts are receding and quiet. The close is bitter, sharply so, and not soft at all.

M - Brisk and easy on the open, but very dry and prickly in the finish.

O - The one I had was long in the tooth, but the fruit was present, bright, and pleasant. The end is a bit sharp, but I still like what is going on here. Solid.
