Looks amazing, doesn't smell great. Up front the taste doesn't wow me. But as it warms the back end and aftertaste are amazing. Just about competes with anything like this style on the market. Delicious. Surprised this is at an 86.

Good shit.

This has a lovely nose that suggests galaxy, but everything else is lacking - almost no flavor to speak of, a sort of cigarette butt bitterness. It's a flat yellow, with a faint head, a soft drinkable build. I think this beer really sucks.

I wonder if there isn't another strain of Galaxy out there, as this is the second MA 'galaxy' ale I've had that really suffered for having no particular flavor, but managing a lovely fruity nose.

Glorious? Yes. Light and refeshinging more than I typically like but nice follow up to Pieces of 8. Fruity fo sure, so wizards will prefer it in mid summer. Hiking to a fine peak, well this will be a fine reward even if out of state for Vermont ;-). Enjoy mortals.

Pours a hazy whitish blonde hue into my glass. Light and airy with a strong dose of citrus in the nose. Guava and passionfruit come to mind. Excellent doughy malt base. Nice bitter finish. A good sense of balance and well worth a shot.

A great tasting golden “Galaxy Pale Ale”, not too hot at 6.5%. My first beer from Lord Hobo. This beer makes me want to check out the others from this brewery!

As I prefer the juicy NE style IPAs, this one was not my favorite. While saying that, it is a drinkable beer and if offered from a friend I would gladly drink it.

Looks the part of a modern Pale Ale - cloudy orange-ish, smells juicy too. 1st few sips are good, may think we have a winner here. But cumulatively I get a pineapple taste building up. I know they don't use any juice, but the flavor is unmistakable. Has to be a by-product of the house yeast, as I get the same in other LH beers. Will try again, but not too soon.

Had on tap. Pours hazy, light yellow in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine, orange, and grapefruit rind. Sweet start with a big bitter finish, medium bodied and carbonation. Makes for a good and solid New England style ipa. Is not as juicy as some of those from other breweries. However, still a treat to drink.

DATE: December 9, 2017... OCCASION: staying home during the year's first snow... GLASSWARE: Victory nonick... mega-cloudy, super bubbly base that appears as tropical as its namesake hop suggests... the sallow yellow body supports a casually substantial snow-white head that laces nicely... a blast of grapefruit and passion fruit, with fresh flowers and aromatic baked bread--alluringly tropical... first sip is puckering, bitterly agreeable, with a crunchiness at the start.... a smooth finish make this less of a hop bomb than expected... the grapefruit is front and center, with lemon, mango, and other tropical intonations... mostly, a singular profile that, at 6.5 % ABV, makes its presence with a hop-forward assertiveness... my first Lord Hobo offering, and definitely a gateway to their stronger brews....
