A full-bodied Double IPA that glows a magnificent hazy orange. Heavily dry-hopped with Jarrylo, Azacca and Mosaic resulting in big notes of pineapple, mango, honeydew with a notable Pilsner malt backbone. Dangerously drinkable and surprisingly mellow.

Pours a translucent golden color with a 1F short-lived head and light lacing.
Smells of piney metallic hops and some citrus.
Tastes of sweet malt, citrus, pineapple with a slightly peppery bitter alcohol warm finish.
Medium body and carbonation. Dry mouthfeel.
This is a nicely drinkable relatively powerful west coast style IPA.

Plenty of carbonation helps to produce a puffy white foam on top, in a clear glass liter mug. At least the contents of a pint can fit inside the vessel, despite the foam. It's receding unevenly, with irregular spare glass lacing. The claim on the label that this is full bodied is now suspect. Full bodied beers usually have heads, not foam at the top. Moreover. It's only mildly hazy and lightly copper-amber in color. The hops are a muted mesh of pine and citrus to smell. Certainly not sharp, crisp nor well-defined. There's much more malt to the taste and body than was anticipated. If anything, with the high ABV contributing, this drinks a little too sweetly. To taste, the hops are much more defined, with tropical fruit, resins and even some citrus references. The body, as feared by the foam and lack of glass lacing, does come up a little short. But, there are far worse offenders. Overall, this is a more than acceptable way to consume a highly potent IPA that brings above average tastes with it. Maybe not "World Class", but way better than many within its category.

What can I say? This one works for me. Nice taste of sweetness with a touch of bitterness on the finish. One of my favorite hobos.

I brought a couple of cans of this beer home from Boston whilst there for my son's hockey tournament. It poured a hazy golden orangish with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank apricot and blood orange notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and ripe tropical fruit medley presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
