Handsome hazy slosh in the tulip. Sensationally aromatic with tangerine and fermenting pineapple. Tangy and rather acidic. There's something like rye flavor, spicy and grainy. Modest bitter lime peel aftertaste.

Orange flavor with a sweet malty undertone. Whatever this is, it's perfectly delicious. Overall it's light yet flavorful, like a a Pale Ale but with a welcome grainy tang. From the 12 oz can purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.

If you like IPA's, you will love this beer. If you prefer wheat beers (as this one is advertised as), find something else.

It looks like a wheat beer, but it is an IPA in disguise.

Absolutely not an IPA, hazy like a new england IPA, malty like something else. Certainly not a wheat or white ale. I have no idea of how to classify this. Mouthfeel is all watery. The beer is bitter and neither wheat ale nor IPA.

On tap at Barrel Republic and Angelica was labelled as a "staff favorite." I can see why... even though I only had a 3 ounce sampling. Angelica was refreshing and paired well with my lunch salad. I thought the hops were not extreme (like some reviewers.) Because she was food-friendly, Angelica could also be classified as a saison... except that the softness in the mouth is more like a wit. Whatever. Worth a try.

My first from Lord Hobo, I went on their website. They focus on perhaps ten beers (smart) and seem to be having fun (also smart) and succeeding at both (really smart.) I will look for more.

Hazy pale yellow brew, topped by a nice snow white head. Good retention.

Nose features bright and vegetal hops, hay, wheat, and lemongrass. Light pepper.

Thicker and sweeter on the palate; nicely balanced. Lemon, honey, cracker, bright green herbs, white pepper, milky wheat.

Smooth and creamy body.

Poured from a can into a tulip
Bright, Hazy (3), foamy head
Mild alcohol, hoppy, piney aroma
Moderately bitter
Good body, moderate carbonation, pleasant after-taste
Very drinkable
Advertised as a “New England Wheat” but an unusual beer, probably will be a popular summer wheat beer that drinks like a New England APA

L: Hazy, almost opaque bright yellow with a big soapy white head. Medium-poor retention, but a thin film remains, leaving splotchy lacing.

S: Huge pineapple, lemon-lime, mandarin orange, and peach hop aromas, with a creamy, slightly grainy/nutty wheat build, and slight herbaceousness.

T: Big pineapple, apricot, and white peach upfront. Sweet, fruity, juicy, but also tart. Lemon, lime, and tangerine as well. Creamy, white bread/doughy malt with a tinge of honey hold up the middle. Finishes fairly clean, lightly dry, with a slight lingering orange note before an abrupt finish, and a faint lingering dankness.

F: Creamy upfront, well-rounded, moderately-highly carbonated; clean and crisp. Thins out by the finish but doesn't go watery.

O: An outstanding beer; combining the best elements of NEIPA and pale wheat ale with fusion of fruity hops and creamy malt.

From the 12 fl. oz. can dated 05/18/18. Sampled on September 15, 2018.

The appearance is a milky, cloudy looking pale yellow wity a modest white head that diminishes quickly. No lacing.

This is labeled a New England Wheat but it has the aromatic sensation of a hazy NEIPA with tropical, fruity, and pineapple sensations. The toasted wheat seems almost invisible. But there is a slight white bread character too.

Light to medium mouthfeel.

A slightly sweet but mostly fruity taste with a short-lasting fruity bitter ending. I think I might have wanted more wheat than I got but it still had some positive vibes to it.

Bought cans from the sampler pack. Beer pours with a somewhat bright yellow-orange appearance and a large head. Really nice aromas of some wheat straw but some citrus hops. Taste follows that nose with a mostly bitter sweet wheat flavoring. Great carbonation and slightly refreshing. Overall, really good mouthfeel and aromas.
