Notes / Commercial Description:
This is a one of a kind hazy IPA that combines a carefully crafted base with a juicy burst of orange flavors. Angelica was designed to be a unique showcase for the incredible Mosaic hop. The malt bill creates a clean and perfectly balanced backbone to highlight the mixed berry and stone fruit qualities common to mosaic. After experiencing that beer we knew it would blend perfectly oranges to create a special limited beer. The orange flavor combines with a berry melody to pop an incredible, fruity aroma that is matched by its easy drinking flavor. The haze craze goes great with orange!

Taste like a straight up orange with some bitterness from the rind in the finish.

New England Hazy Lucious Fruity. I've got lots of questions for this one, but let's approach it one step at a time.

L: Pale yellow and cloudy. Light head and light lacing. ABV congruent with malt content, and the color and cloudiness indicating the added natural flavors as described on the can.

S: Tangerine on the nose, like you just finished peeling an orange. Followed by heavy malt, which is what hazy is known for. I'm not picking up any hops, although, to be fair, hops can sometimes smell like oranges. I wonder what makes it an IPA?

T: "I'm comfortable stating that this is the best brew with an orange relation to it. It almost seems like it would be a natural flavor over an artificial." Which supports the can's claim of 'ale with natural flavors'. This is a 4.5/5 easily. Great taste.

Angelica is much more approachable than Boom Sauce, while having the same signature profile that LHBC is known for.

If you enjoy IPAs, but you'd like a mellow break, breather, or pause, this would fill the gap nicely, it is a lovely brew. You will absolutely smash the entire 4pack in one night and I recommend buying two.

F: Prickly fizz. It drinks very easily.

O: Great beer. Easily superior to 95% of brews that exist. There's a level of sophistication happening here that you will need a few passes through to appreciate.

Good beer, at 10$/ 4 pack. it's a B+/A- but if the prices increase I'd call it more of a 3.75-4.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/25/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, oranges, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and citrus tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracke white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, oranges, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no lingering hop/fruit astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and lightly acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited NEIPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, oranges, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish; great soft feel. Awesome Mosaic showcase. Extremely juicy/vibrant hops/citrus, with some dank/earthy notes; and a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness from lingering bitter dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. Perfectly balanced hop/fruit flavors.

Served on tap in a shaker pint. Turbid Creamsicle color with a collar of foam. Aromas of pine, mandarin orange, white bread and cracker. Flavors orange rind, light pine, bready malt, berries, with a touch of a peppery bite on the finish. Pillowy, fuller mouthfeel.
