Not far from downtown Galway, parking is at a bit of a premium here but doable, even for an American in a rental car... The vibe inside is certainly not the best in Ireland, almost more like an American sports bar than anything else. The beer selection was the best we saw on our trip to Ireland, and the house beer was also the most "up to date" as compared to the standards I'm used to; it was nice to see that not all Irish breweries are stuck making their own slightly more full flavored versions of Guiness and Smithwick. The beer was all quite good, especially the IPAs, which were all American style and used modern aroma hops and they even had a sour or two on tap. I don't know if this is the best Gallway Bay location, but certainly its worth checking out and if you are visiting western Ireland, you would be remiss not to stop at one of the Gallway Bay bars as they seem to be the most cutting edge brewery in the area.
