This is a bizarre brew. A Brown ale with excessive vanilla to the point of tartness, but not an overly sour taste. Wild.

It's a pretty brown. The aroma is weirdly tangy with vanilla. The taste, just a bit sour, is alive and unique. This is a very interesting brew.

Highly recommended.

Tart vanilla brown ale. Poured from a can into an Urban Artifact Thoroughbred glass. The pour is a little murky and dark amber. Like iced tea, only a little darker. It has a fine layer of head that quickly dissipates. Some toasted malt and toffee on the nose. Smells like a typical brown ale.

Medium-light body with a firm feel and a tart flavor. The slightly sweet, toasty notes hit you first, but then you get the tartness. It quickly overpowers the malt and brings on an unusual flavor combination like fresh toast and sour cherries.

An interesting beer in that the tartness isn't all that evident on the nose, but certainly is on the palate. This one is not really my cup of tea and I'm not sure I would buy it again. I still crave Urban Artifact's tart beers that feature fresh fruit. Those are to die for.
