Completely headless is the smooth fluid surface over a shimmeringly clear gem amber body.

Tart and crackery with a light salinity, this features a pleasant level of spicy grapefruit notes paired with accents of orange zest.

The crisp tingly medium body finishes semi-dry, where it becomes lightly juicy with notes of cucumber on the swallow. The aftertaste is fucking amazing--it goes on and on with a mildly floral and citrusy, clean and refreshing character.

12oz can, media sample from the brewery.

This well balance tart ale comes across quite clean, the grapefruit flavor hit the palate at the same time as the sourness and plays well off of the malt base. Zesty with a citrus juicy punch, refreshing enough to make that next sip easy.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/20/2019. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy ruby red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, orange, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with light notes of toast, biscuit, peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of grapefruit juice/zest, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy ruby red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, orange, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with light notes of toast, biscuit, peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, zesty bitterness, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy ruby red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, orange, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light toast/biscuit/pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of grapefruit juice/zest, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/bitter/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no pucker/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tang/tartness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/zesty, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited gose! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of grapefruit juice/zest, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Amazing balance of super juicy/vibrant grapefruit/zest and Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing spot on style example as expected of the brewery. Have loved all of their sours so far.

Gose brewed with grapefruit juice and grapefruit zest. Poured from a can into an Urban Artifact Thoroughbred tulip. The pour is dark orange, hazy, and sports two fingers of fine white foam with low retention (typical for a sour beer). The nose is rather faint without much there, except for some grain, sharp vinegar, lemon rind, and grapefruit.

Light body with a soft feel and a refreshing flavor. Up front is lots of sharp acidity. Lemon and grapefruit dominate with a little bit of orange peel and a faint touch of salt. The fruit flavors persist across the palate, softening on the finish. Lingering are tart flavors of lemon and grapefruit and when they drift away there is a distinct cereal-like graininess that complements the flavor well. Very refreshing beer. Reminds me a little of Pinwheel, but with a slightly softer flavor and without all of the citrusy goodness that one has.
