Sampled this one at the SMA Open House event in Durham. Pours a deep amber with a big, thick, creamy head. Nice aroma of malt, sweet fruit, and toffee. Relatively still, rich body holds a medium-sweet, fruity palate. Taste reminiscent of a nice English ale, like a Boddington's. Elements of oak, sweet apple, toffee, and cane sugar. Light hop bitterness on the aftertaste. Definitely the best Pyramid brew I've had.

Came to the table showing a darker caramel color with a nice stable white head showing no signs of going away. Major lacing if you like spider webs.
A subdued hoppy aroma with whiffs of maltiness.
Very smooth drink! The nitro kicks this into a creamsicle texture with a hoppiness kick but not over the top. A small bitterness after the swallow but nothing unpleasant.
Very creamy mouthfeel with a little foam on each sip.
Very drinkable brew though it must be found on a tap.

Pours dark amber with some copper. White tight head that sits up well and stays for quite a long time.
Aroma is decent, almost seems to be amplified by the nitro-tap. Some citrus, melon, caramel.
Flavor of citrus, mild pine, light caramel, creamy mouthfeel. Bitterness is fairly tame.
Though pretty basic, I really enjoy this on tap. Very easy to drink if not very complex.

This was on a nitro-tap at their brewery, producing a light amber liquid with a frothy head.
It was pleasantly creamy, with a bitterness that seemed to fit between their APA and IPA, though the hop flavour was less citrousy than the other two.
Definitely a MUST-TRY beer.

I had this on tap at the Pyramid Ale house. The beer was poured in a standard pint glass. It was a nice metallic light brown with a tan head.
The beer had a nose of some hops (think grapefruit) and a bit of malt. Fresh smelling, but not a huge aroma by any means.
The taste was much like the smell, decent but a bit washed out. Some slight bitterness and pine taste from the hops. This is backed-up by a bit of caramel sweetness from the malts. It needs to be punched-up a bit.
Extremely smooth and silky mouthfeel which Im sure is from the nitrogen. Drinkablity is just ok, needs more flavor to move up the rankings.

Never had Pyramid DPA as it said on the tap handle, so I figured I'd give it a go.
Very nice amber color has a good head with nice lacing around the glass in wide bands.
Smell is very inviting and reminded me of hop wallop in a sense. Not too over the top and the hops balance nicely with the malt structure.
Taste is mellow but rich. A sweeter APA if you must say, but the hops come back and keep it under control and well balanced.
A very, very drinkable brew to me as the hops won't kill your palate.

This is a beauty. A real needle in the haystack as far as i'm concerned. Pyrmaid has good food but mediocre beers.
The draught pale ale is served clear and unfogged, a gorgeous amber color. Large tan/white head of incredibly tiny bubbles. Longlasting and left tons of lace.
Smell is mild but fresh and hoppy. Sorta citrusy, like fresh cascade hops.
Drink it and it's very mild, hops not as strong as in the nose, not butter, but balanced and mellow. It's also smooth as can be. Finely carbonated and a pleasure to enjoy.
Smoothness and mildness makes this a winner for drinkability. A little sweet for an evening, but awesome for a glass or two.

Pours a gorgeous orange amber with an off white head that is magnificent. The nirtogeneration is cool almost stout looking. The smell is of tofee and strong cider. A hint of floral and citrus esters. The taste is thick and buttery, a slight hop tang but nothing overpowering. Very rich for a PA. Full bodied and smooth. A nice beer to try but I wouldn't go back that much.

Medium gold color. Large foamy head. Aroma is nearly absent, but it's a touch malty. A light bodied Pale ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are mild, grapefruity and floral. The nitro conditioning really masks any flavor this beer has. Sort of well balanced, I guess. Not a very good effort. The finish is very smooth, but that about all one can say about this beer. Mouth feel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Very nice copper colored body and a nice persistent white head courtesy of the nitro. Nice lacing was left which added to a general feel good attitude towards this offering. Creamy mouthfeel and smooth taste which was pleasantly hoppy. Very drinkable!

I've been a fan of Pyramid beers for a long time, and I wish there were more varieties available in Texas. I naturally jumped at the chance to visit the Pyramid brewpub in Seattle on my recent trip. The DPA was my first choice, and a good one. Light amber with a nice head, good lace and a really creamy texture. Well-balanced flavor with a sweet malty start and a hoppy finish. A tremendous session beer.

Had this on tap and it was well carbonated with a creamy head. Amber color with good body and moderate hops bittering. Reminded me of Bass pale ale. I understand the initials DPA stand for draft pale ale.
