Discord Dark IPA celebrates the marriage of two distinct flavors, the Dark Ale and the IPA. The traditional bitterness of an IPA is juxtaposed against a black malt canvas, creating an ale that keeps your taste buds working to discover all of the unique flavors imparted by the 5 different hops and malts.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Enjoy by 06/14/12.
A: Pours a black body that allows some light through turning it dark dark brown. 1 finger yellowish-tan-white head that disspates to a film. Can actually see a little carbonation when held up to a light.
S: Some great citrus hops coming through on this aroma. Somebody said peach and I can definitely smell that too. A little roasted malt in there.
T: Floral and citrus hops to start, some malt tries to balance it out but gets overwhelmed. Lingering hop aftertaste.
M: Would never picture this beer being so dark with how it feels on the palette. Hops dont leave any unwanted sticky resins.
Overall a pretty enjoyable brew. Probably the most drinkable Dark IPA i've had.

A: Dark brown, basically black with a mocha head.
S: Orange, mango, coffee, dark chocolate in the nose.
T: Bittersweet chocolate, orange, mango, tangerine, a little lemon, some grapefruit peel and a little pine.
M: Medium bodied and smoothish.
O: Discord? More like accord. This style of beer is a delicious blend of roasted malt and citric/fruity happiness.

A - Poured out a really dark brown with a ruby tint to it, explosive 2 finger of thick bubbly khakhi head, mild lacing.
S - Lots of dark fruit, some complex malt background, a touch of medicinal smell, and some earthy hops.
T - Taste follows a lot like the aroma, lots of big dark fruit taste, a touch of it is tart, then you get some dark toasted caramel, some sweeter candied kinda malt, a little bit of odd spice underneath.
M - Weird, a touch too carbonated, and papery dry bitterness.
O - Definitely complex, but it seems like this one is a little too weird, I dont think its a bad take on a black IPA, but it doesnt really have any dark roasted traits.

Pours a black color. 3/2 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, hops, citrus hops, pine, spice, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of an American Black Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a very high carbonation level. Tastes of hops, roasted malt, sweet malt, alcohol, hint of pale malt, slight pine, and caramel malt. Overall, good appearance, aroma, and blend, but the high carbonation is quite unfavorable.
