Poured from a can into a tulip glass, bubbly head persisted.
Cloudy yellow color.
Tangy, spicy, somewhat boozy but not unpleasantly so.
Not typical of the style, but very drinkable.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Tavern on the James, poured into a tulip glass. Had a bright, golden yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch or so of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: An alluring aroma of spices, Belgian-style yeast, and light fruit as well.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of Belgian yeast, light hops notes, some malt, an interesting nutty quality, fruit (citrus is well represented here), and a good shot of spices (pepper, in particular). While the flavor has a standard BSPA base, it has been fascinatingly tweaked. Pretty tasty.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively, if a little slick, finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Not a perfect example of this style, but well worth a try. Drinkable.

Odd cross between a wit beer and a tripel. Quite refreshing but with heft. Well balanced. A very likeable beer.
