Brewed as a bigger alternative to our Zelda IPA, In Absentia features a lush body packed with pineapple, orange, passion fruit, and mango notes with a touch of piney resin. A gentle bitterness supports the flavor of the five different hops used in this beer.

Best at 50°+. Smoother, less hoppy, more fruit and a smoother MF

Pours a large frothy foamy 1.5 finger head with moderate retention, fair soapy lacing, hazy cloudy pale orange color
Nose typical NEIPA, lots of citrus, a little pithy, orange cream, tangerine, flaked proteins, a little chalky mineral
Taste similar, loads of citrus up front, orange juice and orange cream, flaked proteins softening juicy characters, as well as a very light chalky mineral so a good measurement, very little bitterness, juicy, light alcohol warmth, drier finish, med-light bitterness
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, mild creamy notes, soft, med carb, touch of warming alcohol
Overall typical NEIPA, good citrus and juicy creamy flaked protein character, some water softening chalky minerals but very light thankfully, decent beer but in the end the same as all the other NEIPAs in the market basically but at least on the upper end

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 09/23/21. Received from @WunderLlama as part of NBS BIF #14.
Pours a hazy pale yellow with very little head. Lots of active, fine carbonation. Smell is super tropical, lots of mango and pineapple, maybe some melon or bubble gum. Also some lemon rind.
Taste is more in the melon and bubble gum arena with mango/pineapple in the background. Citrus rind also present and also taking a back seat.
Mouthfeel is slightly chalky, moderately effervescent, constantly inviting the next sip. Overall, I'm liking this quite a bit.

Pours a very cloudy opaque golden amber color with a thick foamy head. Head retention is very good. Lacing is excellent. Citrus and tropical aromas. Grapefruit and melon. Maybe a hint of piney resin. Nice juicy taste. Grapefruit and melon again with some herbal, earthy bitterness at the end. Medium bodied with mild to moderate carbonation.

Nice deep golden almost darker look with a thinning white head. Fruity hop scent pineapple and mango prominent scent just pouring off this brew, strong here. Man, pretty tasty, if this was a tad sweeter it would be a knockout. Somewhat crisp feel in a medium pa mage here. I’ll give the other one I have to my bro in law to try, it’s worthy.
