canned 10/03/17
L- The beer pours a dark amber with a modest 1 and a half finger off white head. Lacing is ample as the head recedes to a large central island and ring.
S- The nose is somewhat weak here. What I detect is a mix of grapefruit with some grassy overtones.
T- On the palate the beer is dank and somewhat weedy. There is an underlying sweetness which speaks to the strength of the malt bill. In the end the sweetness is balanced out nicely with a dry piney bitterness.
F- Carbonation is light and prickly. The carbonation fights against a subtle slickness. Overall mouthfeel is medium.
O- Other than the weakness of the nose this is a nice satisfying DIPA. It reminds me a bit of a pour mans Second Fiddle. If you like balance rather than bitterness in your DIPA this one is worth a shot.

pours out a burnt orange color. bready malt aromas and some grassy hops, hint of graepefruit and orange. palate follows mostly, some sweet and smooth malty notes reminiscent of toast, caramel, and even like a butterscotch sweetness, some pine on the finish. solid mouthfeel. decent beer overall

L - Amber - gold
S - Citrus. Enough said.
T - Interesting. to say the least, citrus-y and the bitterness is the good kick in the chest kind.
F - Smooth
O - First time drinking at this small brewer, price is a little high, but the beer is above average

From can to IPA glass, the floral aroma registers first with Double Dementia. The beautiful color registers next, but I suppose that's what happens when the malts used are "the color of Hellfire." On the palate, lots of citrus--the juicy kind, but this is an exceptionally smooth-drinking beer. So smooth that you might be tempted to consider it a sessionable DIPA. At 8.3%, take that route only if you're home.
Like I am. And Dementia is setting in.
Superb DIPA from Demented, for sure. Don't miss this baby.

Appearance: amber in color with a 1/2" head that recedes quickly to a surface covering.
Smell: very mild citrus and pine aroma.
Taste: bready caramel, grapefruit, some pine, and a moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp throughout.
Overall: this was a bit more malt focused than citrus or pine, but was enjoyable.

Decanted from 32 oz crowler (obtained into a conical pint glass.
A: Pours a copper color with a half inch, off-white head and moderate Belgian lacing.
S: Pitted fruit, particularly peach aroma, is predominant. Slight pepperiness to the bouquet.
T: Medium roast malts nicely balanced with light bitterness of hops, pitted fruit, pine nut, and squash/pumpkin notes.
M: Light to medium bodied. Refreshing with low to moderate effervescence.
O: A very well constructed, nicely balanced American Double IPA. Would drink/serve/gift.

pours an amber-orange with a thick head, looks pretty good.
aroma is bland, lots of malt.
taste is actually nice, lots of malt but still has a nice helping of hops thrown in.
far from perfect but not bad, i like my dIPAs heavier on hops than malt.
