Best dog-friendly beer shop in the city. Very specific, but it very much is (was).
Picnic tables, a curated 12 tap bar (with nitro coffee!) & well-sized bathrooms to the left. Aisles of beer organized by new/local/country/wine/cider.
The staff is friendly & very aware, the place always has a pup or three & the prices are better than the other local shop (Appalachian Vinter). Selection is second, but only because of the store size.
Visit the Raleigh store when you can. Hopefully they'll be back in town once all this crazy dies down.

One of my favorite places in Asheville, a fantastic spot for folks looking to explore NC and beyond beer
V: pre-COVID, a relaxed atmosphere with shelves of well-curated local/regional/national/global brews plus fridges. Over to the left there were ~12 taps (can't recall, was last indoors in November) featuring great NC breweries such as Fonta Flora (beet beer!), with both bar seating and indoor picnic tables. There is also a small bench/standing bar set-up outside. Now it's all order ahead (no in-store browsing) for curbside or delivery - website vibe is great, easily one of the best online buying experiences I've had (4pks, singles, bottles, etc.)
Q: using the website for pick-up orders, you can sort by arrival if you have freshness concerns. You get the impression they put a lot of effort into this place front to back, and it shows
S: miss sitting at the bar and getting a pour, but the curbside pick-up is so incredibly easy. Orders are ready quite quickly (I haven't really tested it, but haven't had to wait) and the curbside bench drop is seamless and safe
S: where this place is head and shoulders above anywhere else. The selection is truly remarkable, well curated, fairly priced, and they offer singles in addition to 4pks. Combined with larger format bottles, local/craft cider, and wine Tasty offers something for everyone
If you're in Asheville, please check this place out. Not the same experience when you can't sit down for a beer, but take a flyer on something from their amazing selection and bring it back to your AirBnb/hotel/etc!

This place sits on the corner next to a bunch of breweries. They have 100+ bottles and cans available in singles as well as a large cooler full of beer. They also have beer on tap and arcade games.

Whew, I must be getting blind in my old age, because I almost missed this place, despite walking by the HUGE OBVIOUS WINDOWS more than once. Once inside, I actually immediate understood where I was because I recognized the logo glassware. The bottle/can selection here is excellent, arguably rivaling Vintner for best in town. Additionally they have a bar area and I think do growler fills.
Bar hop: Funkatorium, Tasty, Asheville Brewing, Burial, Green Man, Twin Leaf. It's hard to beat this neighborhood as far as beer venues goes. I'd say this is the true heart of Asheville right here.

This is a great bottle shop near several of the breweries and brewpubs, and right across the street from the Funkatorium. Walking in you notice a well lit, airy, very clean store with neatly arranged aisles of beers. Large windows provided natural light in the day too. The surprise was in the back as there was a small 10 seat bar that had 16 beers that were somewhat unique from the other bars in the area. I stopped and grabbed a beer while looking around at the sixers for sale. The was a unexpected stop - I looked in the window and decided to walk to what was inside and it was a great experience.

Nice bottle shop with a huge selection right by the Funkatorium. Friendly staff who are very helpful along with a tap station for pints. A great place and hang out especially on release days.

Great location on the South Slope for those buyers who don't want to venture too far. Selection is awesome, taps are solid, service is great. Will be a regular stop from now on when we visit Asheville.

This is a nice little beer store, the addition of a bar and the ability to grab a beer to sip while browsing is a nice touch. The selection is good, not mind blowing, but they have a lot of local stuff and as an out of town visitor thats what I was primarily looking for. This would be a great neighborhood store and I am sure I would be in often if I lived nearby.

This place is excellent. Open space and modern look. The selection is almost overwhelming. You could easily spend a good amount of time just browsing the selection. I didn't browse too much, because I went in knowing what I wanted. Good tap list, fantastic customer service. While in Asheville, I love going to Brusin Ales and App. Vinter, but this is just different. Highly recommend.

HUGE selection of beer, both local and imported, and highly attentive staff with a draft-bar located at the back of the store so that you may either sample or sip as you shop.

We discovered Tasty Beverage Co. nestled unobtrusively in another warehouse building. We stopped in to see what they had in bottles and were excited to discover that (unlike in Minnesota) they were also able to sell pints and growlers of commercial beer at a little bar inside the store. With beers ranging from Italian lambics to IPA's we had several options to try. We ended up sharing a Haw River's St. Benedict's Breakfast Dubbel that was nice, but not the best coffee beer we had tried that day. We earmarked a couple of cans and bottles for a future stop when we had wheels. As with most places we ended up talking with some of the locals at the bar and getting some inside information about what other places in the area to try. Beer folk are friendly and talkative as a general rule...
I liked the place, but did notice that the Imports were a bit in the sun...
