This Old West themed bar and restaurant has over 40 beers on tap (listed below). It' s located at the eastern end of the trendy "old town Ventura" area on Main Street. There's all kinds of cowboy decor like Winchester rifles above the bar, horse collars, pictures of cowboys, photos of John Wayne, a longhorn skull, etc. The really cool thing that beer lovers will dig are the literally hundreds of tap handles hanging from the ceiling beams. That alone is worth a visit.

The beer was good. I had a New Belgium 1554 and a Redhook ESB. Nothing to complain about there. And the chicken tenders were good and came with a tasty ranch dipping sauce, plus fries to boot. I wished the service was a little better considering that it wasn't all that busy. The beer selection was heavy on the macros, but I pretty much expected that and was a little surprised at the number of micros they had on tap. The real drawback is the cost: $7-$8 appetizers, $12 salads and don't get me started on the entrees. Considering about 80% of the menu is steak you have to expect it to be a pricey joint, I guess. Overall its a good place if you're looking for that old west atmosphere, at least in this neck of the woods.

Beers on tap:
Steinlager, Amstel, 2 Sam Adams, 2 Sierra Nevada, 2 Anchor Steam, Heineken, Harp, Spaten, Moosehead, 3 New Belgium, Redhook, Becks, Tecate, 2 Miller, 2 Bud, Fosters, Firestone, Red Tail, PBR, Newcastle, Pyramid, Boddingtons, Bass, 3 ciders, 1 rootbeer, and a few more I've forgotten.

Cool saloon-like atmosphere, this follows an old west theme. There are hundreds of tap handles used as decorations on the ceiling, nice touch. Strangely the actual tap selection pales in comparison to what's displayed as decoration. Maybe 40 taps, all somewhat tame choices though some are quality. Sam Adams, Anderson Valley, North Coast, Firestone Walker, Pilsner Urquell, Lost Coast, Sierra Nevada, Anchor, New Belgium, and maybe 10 macros.

The real reason to come here is the food, in my opinion. It was made quickly and was delicious. I went for the Kemper draught rootbeer, no beer tonight.

This truly a beer lovers bar. The beer selection is awesome with over 40 beers on tap, so there always something new to try. On the weeknds as I often frequent, this place is often filled with the younger crowd between the ages of 21-26, mostly white, im guessing the others are at the club down the street. And there's always room to sit, whether it's on the bar, out in front ot the side heated patios. It's not too loud indoors to the point where you have to yell to talk, it's just right here. The food is okay but pricey. And the booze is reasonably priced. The staff are attractive, charismatic and extremely cool. I saw the bartender one time gave a pitcher of Tecate to the kitchen crew right after the grill closed. I just love it here.
