Lower expectations, pretty much what you’d expect for a corporate chain brewpub, mediocre beers and average food.
Wood paneling and growler shelf decor, large dining area, island bar and indoor patio area with a gas fireplace. Outdoor patio past that. Visible brewing equipment, with a trio of Elijah Craig barrels in the hallway with an educational banner about them. They stress that they brew on site on the beer menu, which I think is a newer development.
Beers are pedestrian, average mass appeal styles. Seasonal was an Oktoberfest, the sampler was a laminated sheet. Seasonal food menu as well, the späetzle mac & cheese was ok but the pasta was a bit mushy.
Service was ok, took awhile to get a beer, the longest the server spent with us was taking the food order and carding all the grey haired adults.
Overall it’s very skippable. If stuck in the area, there’s Kuma’s nearby.

really wanted to have a great time, went there right after lunch rush not busy but a decent amount of people, house beers and probably 4 other beers to choose from local fare two brothers, revolution etc... had their house dipa which was bad cloying sweet and hot not good at all. food was decent but way over priced for what it was $15 for a burger that was dry, service wasn't great had to wait 10 minutes just to get condiments and only saw my waitress when it came time to place my order and get our check. i'd rather go to lucky monk their house beers are not any better but at least there is a better beer selection and the food is way better, and if you have the time go the dukes in crystal lake head and shoulders above the other options.
