A: Very sweet oranges, bananas, clove, how much a little bubble gum in the background, and some mild bready malts

A: cloudy straw with medium head that falls quickly. Light lacing.

F: Mellow oranges, cloves, bubblegum and banana, sweet maltiness and vanilla.

M: medium body with lots of creaminess; lingering sweetness with lots of vanilla.

O: it’s like an orange creamsicle with vanilla. Refreshing and creamy. Didn’t live up to the hype for me.

Fresh can - about a week old

Pours like dishwater, murky and hazy, with an odd white cast to it
Smells amazing, pure creamcicle.
Taste is the same - soft creamy creamcicle. Childhood flashback in a can
Feel is a bit light - expected more a thick feel

Overall a delicious beer - freaking amazing.

L - 1/2 finger bright white crown atop a dirty orange body.

S - orange candy, vanilla, brown sugar.

T - very sweet orange/vanilla candy. No bitterness. High sweetness. No booziness.

F - medium-full, creamy body with appropriate carb.

O - damn it’s sweet. Diabetics beware.

Start to finish this beer achieved the replication of the orange creamsicle. Could have used a last’s head to complete the experience, bit if you are a creamsicle fan this beer is for you!

So the hype is real, and this isn't my first orange creamsicle milkshake ipa, but it is the best so far! Hazy yellow pour with white lacing. Smell is full of candied orange, vanilla, some background dank hops, with a trio of supporting fruit: grapefruit, banana, and melon. Taste is sweet, but still actually has dank hops, nice balance, with huge orange and vanilla bombs throughout. Supporting fruit felt in some sips, not as much in others. Sneaky dry finish after layers of cool and creamy haze. Great dessert ipa, best milkshake ipa I have had in a while

Personally not my cup of tea. Has the taste and feel of that pink medicine. I can see how this would be appealing to some. Smells like creamsicle

Thanks to Tom for this one. Not a fan of lactose beers, but I'm curious about this, so I'll be as objective as possible.

Pint can - 04.08(?).20 - poured into an RC ale flare at 44°F.

Pours a hazy but not quite milky glowing orange juice yellow, topped with less than half-a-finger of loose white suds that recedes quickly to an airy, bubbly collar.

Nose: I thought King Julius smelled like an oramge creamsicle. This IS an orange creamsicle. Orange and vanilla cream. Quite literally a cream-filled orange popsicle. There's some faint mango and Citra fruitiness in the background, but this is plain and simple, orange and vanilla cream. Not at all complex, but amazing nonetheless.

Palate: The beer greets the palate with sweet pale malt and oats. It isn't super sweet like some other Hop Butcher offerings I've had. It's just right, while edging towards the sweeter side. Next, an explosion of Citra notes including orange, lemon, grapefruit, mango, and some papaya. In addition to the Citra-driven citrus notes, there's clearly a true orange element here. The Strata lends some more melon, grassy, white grape, and "fresher" hop notes. There is definitely a true orange and vanilla cream flavour, but it isnt artificial, and it's hoppy enough to where it still tastes like an IPA. The creamsicle theme is subtle, restrained, yet totally pops. Zero nasty lactose flavour. Finishes with some orange and cream, and some nice citrus pith to cut through the sweetness, but zero bitterness. Pure orange creamsicle flavour lingers.

Mouthfeel/Body: The beer is medium-full in body, with the beer itself drinking crisp and medium, but the lactose lending a soft fullness. Not chewy, cloying, or sticky. Low effervescence, but still carbed. Really nice balance of fluid crispness and creamy softness.

Overall: I hate lactose in beer. This may change my mind entirely. Wow, is this good. Sweet, but not too sweet or sticky. Lots of promised orange-vanilla creamsicle, but doesn't taste unnatural or overtake the beer. No gross lactose flavour. Plenty of true hop flavour to remind you it's an IPA. If this is the definition of a milkshake IPA, then dammit, I'm converted! Please, even if you despise lactose beers, do yourself a favour and try this.

Tom, what a great call! Thanks!

16oz can dated 8/7/18 shows a cloudy flat orangish-yellow body with no cap.

Green onion slowly exposes a vanilla aroma.

Flavors include orange juice, citrus, and vanilla, but they don't communicate with each other, and the onion seems to hover around.

Mouthfeel leans full, but clears the pallette like fruit juice.

Overall I don't see the benefit of fruit juice feel, onion aroma, and a flat look. But if that is what they are going for, they nailed it.

Canned 6/13/18; drank 6/20/18 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a nice white head; strong, frothy tree-rung lace.

Orange candy & vanilla notes in the nose...yep, an orange creamsicle.

Medium mouthfeel.

Just as it smells, this tastes like an orange creamsicle; it's uncanny!!

For being quite sweet, it's also very drinkable. I'd have another.
