Hazy orangey yellow body with a finger of white foam. Candied orange, mango, peach, pineapple, and floral hops in the nose. Taste feels like a return to classic hop butcher, well balanced hop bitters in a creamy and slightly sweet matrix with lush peach, apricot, mango, and other citrus and tropical fruit. Feel is creamy with great contrasting hop sharpness. A very fruity neipa that is well made

Pours orange haze with light tan shadowing. Creamy frothy lacing with plenty sticking to the glass. When I opened the can and poured it, I got huge citrus notes. They continue on while drinking-strong orange and mango. Taste is juicy citrus with a slight tang and a subtle background bitterness. Medium body, mouth watering, creamy, bold and full. Excellent beer.

Received as an extra in a trade. No can date.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy dark golden orange hue with a fat almost two finger white head that faded slowly to leave light lacing and a creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of bright, juicy oranges and citrus peel. Really big due to the Citra. Pleasant lighter tropical fruit elements with big mango/papaya along with some under ripe pineapple. The Mosaic is a bit restrained and does poke out with some earthy vegative notes but thankfully the other hops overpower it. Still though, I'm left wishing that simply was omitted as the Citra, Nelson, and Simcoe are all so enjoyable.

T - Taste is, unfortunately, the polar opposite of the taste...which is incredibly unfortunate. TONS of dank, earthy, slightly spicy, vegative, oniony notes courtesy of Mosaic. Awesome. There is some candied orange peel and candied tropical fruits, slightly sweet. Nice malt backbone, lingering juicy fruity finish. Every part of the taste after that initial Mosaic assault is lovely. As it warms it becomes even more juicy and the Mosaic drops off which is fortunate for me.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little fluffy, alcohol hidden nicely.

O - Overall I'm pretty frustrated by this beer. Why Mosaic...why? The vegative earthy elements of that hop utterly ruin what would otherwise be a really, really spot on New England IPA styled beer. Great appearance and aroma, solid mouthfeel...but that damn Mosaic on the taste. Ugh. If that wasn't there this would definitely wind up being 4.5's across the board and a 4.75 overall. As it stands though with that Mosaic on the taste...it is what it is.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on September 19, 2019. Brewed with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin hops. Oats give this a smooth creamy finish.

Canned 9/10/19; drank 9/20/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange/yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a small white head; frothy, tree-rung lace.

Orange citrus, cane sugar & faint dry grass notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Orange citrus & cane sugar flavors up front; dry grass notes on the finish.

A strong, representative NE IPA; just a touch too sweet. I'd gladly have another!

The look was a cloudy orange color. The aroma was ripe citrus and tropical. Lots of orange and mango and little bit of berry in the taste. Not bitter at all. Creamy mouthfeel. Ho[ Butcher continues to kill it with this one.
